What is PlayStation Hits?
It is a Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) label dedicated to reprinted editions of titles from its in-house studios, or from partner developers.
Originally called “Greatest Hits” in past generations (in Japan, the name used for the collection was “The Best”, in Europe, the brand chosen was “Essentials”), the collection was introduced in 1997 still at the time of PS One , being an eligible brand for any game that originally exceeded 150 thousand copies sold, later revised to 400 thousand.
The name PlayStation Hits was established in 2018 as a global brand for the program dedicated to PS4 titles, but regardless of form or name, the physical copies of these games always have the same characteristics: a banner with the highlighted brand (on PS4, in red) and a fixed promotional suggested price. All games are compatible with the PS5, via backward compatibility.
Games in the PlayStation Hits collection currently cost $ 20 in the United States. In Brazil, the original suggested price was R $ 79.90, but was reduced to R $ 59.90 in 2020. At PlayStation Store, digital versions remain priced at R $ 79.90, and are also identified as members of the collection PlayStation Hits.

Is the price of games fixed?
Yes and no. It depends on the version, whether physical or digital.
As already mentioned, all digital games in the PlayStation Hits collection cost R $ 79.90 in the PS Store, excluding any DLCs they may offer. The physical versions, on the other hand, have a suggested price of R $ 59.90, which storekeepers may or may not follow, as the boxes do not carry the printed amount.
It is common to find variations in the prices of physical games in the collection, depending on the shopkeeper and title. In this case, give preference to those who practice the official value of R $ 59.90, suggested by Sony.
