Fritters are tavern items in Darkest Dungeon 2 that have no drawbacks. They increase one of your Hero’s HP and their resistances, but are not guaranteed to be found in any given playthrough. Fritters are classified as Food or Inn items that can only be used in the tavern in Darkest Dungeon 2. You can get them while traveling on expeditions by equipping the Frying Pan Stagecoach Part. It can be bought at any shop, and can only be equipped in a tavern. When equipped, it gives you the option to add Flapjacks to your inventory before each location. Each hero can eat one cake per visit to the tavern for 20% increased health and 5% Bleeding, Fel, and Burn Resistance .

Should you equip Griddle?
When a stagecoach is upgraded, the maximum number of stagecoach items it can have at the same time is four . Using the Griddle will take up a slot, and while the bonuses from Flapjacks are great, there are other items that can help during expeditions. On the first route, you can use the Griddle to make a stack or two of Flapjacks to save for the mountain . This way, power-ups can be used, but then the frying pan can be replaced with a Stagecoach item that suits your playstyle better.
