Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader: Walkthrough – Chapter 1

This guide covers all the quests that can be completed in the prologue and first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader , including story and side missions, assignments, personal companion quests, and optional puzzles (Galvanic Hymn, Flask Lab).

At the beginning of the game, you need to choose a difficulty level, and then create a new character or choose one of the three available. In fact, this does not affect anything. You are offered three completely different heroes, each with its own unique playstyle (Hecate is a ranged fighter, and so on).

Prologue

The game begins with a dialogue with Kunrad Voigtwyr. After asking him any questions, we gain control over the main character. We master the basics of control: moving the camera with the WASD keys, rotating the mouse wheel and moving to the specified place by clicking the LMB. Despite the lack of a mini-map, by pressing the M key you can open a map of the current location. We follow Kunrad to the east and go down the stairs to the south to watch a cut-scene. We will meet an uncontrollable servitor with whom we will have to fight. We study the combat system, information on OP and OD. The former are used for movement, the latter – to perform an action (for example, attacks), while after any action you can no longer move. Having defeated the servitor, we end the battle and watch the cut-scene. As soon as we regain control, we learn about the journal containing information about story missions, rumors and contracts, which is opened by pressing J. Then we head west and open the large double doors. In the corridor, we cross the bridge to meet Theodora and the rest of the team, including Edeltrad.

During the conversation, we will be able to pass a knowledge check, but such dialogue options do not affect anything, they simply expand the lore. Soon we will find ourselves in an ambush of a group that released the servitor, and another training battle awaits us. The number of enemies will increase, and this will be the case in almost every subsequent battle (except for isolated cases when you have to fight bosses). We remember how covers work, reducing the likelihood of being hit. But even complete cover does not provide complete protection, although it reduces more damage. After the battle, we will talk to Theodora, and then head south. We move up the steps to the bridge leading to the east. Crossing the bridge, we will call a cut-scene with Kunrad and Theodora.

After Kunrad escapes, we go into the rooms and use the device located at the far wall. It’s something like an altar. As soon as we regain control, we return to the hall and order the same guard to seal the patent room. We watch a cutscene with Abelard and explain what happened to the traitor Kunrad. We study the information about healing wounds. Our character has an old wound, but we shouldn’t dwell on it, since the probability of healing through Abelard with a medical kit is low. We switch to Abelard, select the first aid kit and use it on the main character, just to restore HP. We open the inventory, equip the armor and weapons received from Abelard. If the character cannot use the equipment, we switch to Abelard and equip it on him.

Having fallen into another ambush, we study the mechanics that allow us to choose positions for characters before the battle. You cannot place a character on a cell next to enemies. Right now you have to fight seven mobs. Abelard should be used as a tank, and accordingly, it is better to place him closer to the enemies. If there is a character specializing in ranged combat, we try to place him as far away from the enemies as possible. Abelard has melee attacks that allow him to deal damage to several targets at once, standing close to each other. After destroying all the enemies, we search their bodies. The loot can be taken to the inventory or sent to the cargo. The goods located in the cargo will later be used to increase reputation with merchants and obtain new items (more on this later). An attempt to leave the room will transfer us to the regional map. Now we should go to the Navigator’s Sanctuary. We continue the walkthrough of the prologue and the first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Finding ourselves in a long corridor, we go forward and watch a cut-scene, during which we will meet a new companion, the psyker Idira. We go through the door next to Idira and destroy a new enemy group. Her spell “Electric Arc” has a chain effect, hitting enemies standing next to each other. Abelard has a dash, which is used as an additional attack (can be done even after a normal attack). After the fight, we go up the stairs and interact with the Navigator. Then we return to the corridor, move to the Officer’s Deck and watch another cut-scene with a new companion Argenta. By holding the TAB key, you can highlight objects available for interaction. We use this function as often as possible.

We check the contents of the box and head to the right door, behind which another battle with seven opponents will take place. In our squad, Argenta is another ranged specialist. Do not forget to use Idira’s skill more often and shoot bursts from Argenta’s weapon. During the battle, additional enemy forces will appear: two mobs prefer close combat, two more – ranged. After completing the battle, carefully examine the corpses and cabinets placed around the room. We head to the right of the entrance, where we find another body with loot. Nearby is a door with a control console that needs to be activated. Inside the safe are hidden operator gloves that increase “Technique” and a melta charge used to destroy shaky walls and doors. We go up the stairs and try to open the next door using technology. Most likely, the check will not be passed, so we use Demolition Engineering and the same melta charge.

We are now southeast of where we first encountered Theodora. Heading south, we find another door in the corner. In this game, it is best to save before attempting to open doors, so that if you fail the checks, you can reload and try again. We examine the corpse and find the “Duty Officer’s Helmet”, which increases defense by 5%. We return to the blown-up door and cross the bridge to face the first choice that will haunt the Rogue Trader throughout the game. The path forward is blocked by a wall of fire, Theodora will appear. Argenta is sure that this is not the real Theodora, while Idira and Abelard disagree with her. In the end, you need to make a decision. You can go through the flames, agree to help, or save the people, earning 15 Dogmatist, Heretic, or Schismatic points. For example, on the Heretic path, people will die. The Heretic path itself is important for those who want to become the Lord of Chaos. The Path of the Schismatic is more peaceful, where you will more often spare criminals, etc. The Path of the Dogmatist is more straightforward, aimed at destroying all enemies of the Emperor-God.

We explore the area immediately after the cutscene, find a corpse near the steps and take the “Helmet of the Faithful Defender”, intended for the path of the Dogmatist, follower rank. We approach the dead body of Theodora, located behind the table. After receiving a hint, carefully examine the body. Several options will appear in front of us, but the priority is to study the documents scattered near Theodora. This way we will get the “Handwritten Letter with a Seal”. After analyzing all available data, we retreat. Before leaving, we examine the box and cabinets on both sides of Theodora to get the “Robe of the Rogue Trader” and “Theodora’s Rosary”.

Then we head north and turn right (east), where we will see a cut-scene: enemies will appear from the elevator. Non-standard heretics and a robot with a reduced supply of health points will appear. After successfully completing the battle, we move forward and go down on the elevator on which the enemies arrived to get to the ship’s bridge. Be sure to save, check if there are medical kits in the slots of Abelara and Idira. Equip additional ones, if any in the inventory.

Boss – Chaos Spawn

Once we are ready, we check the map in the center of the room. If we successfully pass the knowledge check, we will receive an additional 5 experience points. Then we move to the left to meet Edeltrad. Regardless of our decision, Edeltrad will sacrifice people and turn into a Spawn of Chaos, which must be destroyed along with the rest of the heretics. This will be the first difficult battle, since we are facing the prologue boss. Before the battle, we place the squad as far away from the Spawn of Chaos as possible to avoid its first attacks. We try to equip ranged weapons for all squad members. As I wrote earlier, you will need first aid kits. The peculiarity of this battle is that as soon as the health of the Spawn of Chaos drops to 50%, it will use the “Devour” ability, restoring 30% of its health by eating one of the heretics and instantly receiving an additional turn. The Chaos Spawn also uses other attacks: a spit that creates a poisonous puddle, and a growl that causes bleeding for five turns for those who fail an endurance test. In close combat, the boss can inflict massive damage and even attack twice, knocking the character off his feet. We continue the walkthrough of the prologue and the first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Thus, our strategy is to destroy the heretics as quickly as possible, as they are sources of additional health for the boss. To achieve this goal, you can use the same “Electric Arc” of Idira. We shoot from a long-range weapon, trying to hit both the boss and the heretics at the same time. Abelard acts as a tank, which must be supported with first aid kits. Do not forget about “Shooting on the Run”, which is available to many ranged characters (for example, Argenta), since with its help we can attack twice per battle. After destroying the heretics, we switch to the Spawn of Chaos itself, which will not be able to recover due to ordinary mobs. After the battle, we search the bodies to find a fragment of a mysterious sword (related to the quest of the path of Chaos), “Mantle of Heroism” and “Gloves of Overcoming”. We go to the other side of the room and meet the chief helmsman Ravor. Choose any dialogue option and watch the cut-scene. The prologue will end.

Chapter 1

Story mission “In Search of Trouble”

After we take the post of Lord Captain, which Theodora was, we choose any dialogue options and announce a general meeting. Officers will appear. We listen carefully to each of them, receiving a number of new additional tasks. We will also learn about the traitor. He can be executed or protected, while pardon will allow you to earn Schismatic points, and execution – Dogmatist. After the meeting, if you have a handwritten letter with a seal found on Theodora’s corpse, an additional option will appear, although its choice will not affect anything and will not even bring experience points. The task will update, Argenta will appear, who will tell you about her personal request. Now you can freely walk around the ship. Right now, three assignments are available to us (New Blood, Guardian of the Machine Spirit, Guide) and one companion’s task (Personal Request of Sister Sororitas).

When we are ready, we interact with the Koronus Expanse map in the center, next to which Abelard is standing, to open the map of the current star system. We can start with the quest “Guide”, within the framework of which we are sent to the planet Eurak-V. This quest is connected with the main quest “Secrets of the Navis Nobilite”, so we will complete both missions at the same time.

After that, we go to the southern planet Raikad Filia. Upon landing, we talk to the pilot Rakel to receive the story quest “The Chosen Ones”. If we visit Raikad Minoris before this, we will learn information about her fiancé. Later, during the side quest “Guardian of the Machine Spirit”, we will be able to tell her fiancé about Rakel.

After completing the “Chosen” mission, we head to Raikad Minoris, located in the eastern part of the current star system. But before that, we pay attention to an unidentified void ship. We can fly up to it and establish radio contact. It turns out that these are pirates, which can either be destroyed or ignored and trade can begin.

Trading in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is different from the usual mechanics. On the exchange screen, our inventory is on the right side, and the NPC inventory is on the left. It is important to pay attention to the numerical values of the items: the number on the left displays the level of relations with the Void Brotherhood, and the number next to the character icon is the profit factor, similar to reputation. To exchange, you need to satisfy the profit factor of each item. For example, the flamethrower has a profit factor of “4”. Our current reputation level is 0, and medical kits open at reputation level 1, requiring 1500 points. By switching to the reputation tab, we find out what cargo NPCs need to increase reputation. Having reached the desired reputation and profit factor values, we can get all the items at the appropriate level.

After the exchange, we fly to Raikad Minoris. Before landing, we will see a cutscene in which the main character will find himself at a desk surrounded by “spirits”. The first dialogue options are almost no different, but in the end you will have to choose between the Heretic and the Dogmatic, receiving +7 to the corresponding path. It is important not to throw away the blade, otherwise the quest “Call of the Ancestors” will fail. On Raikad Minoris, we meet Sergeant Malgar. After a short conversation, a new story quest “Star Harbor” begins. Having completed it, we move on to the next task – “Glare of the Last Dawn”. Returning to the ship and clicking on Raikad Minoris on the space map again, we see three landing sites: the city, the command center, which we have already visited, and a new place, the Electrodynamic Abode. This is where we should land.

There are friendly NPCs here, there will be no enemies in the location, so explore it freely. When we are ready, we go up the northern stairs and open the large gate to access the new area. Moving north, we find a fork: you can go west or east. First, we go west, hugging the southern part to find a door. Behind the door, we watch a cut-scene with the appearance of a new team member, Inquisitor Heinrichs van Calox. If your squad consists of six people, Heinrichs can be taken into the team, and instead of him, any companion can be returned to the ship. You should not send Pascal, since there is a side quest related to him. The current quest will be completed. We continue the passage of the prologue and the first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Story mission “Secrets of Navis Nobilite”

The beginning of this mission coincides with the moment when we decide to approach Eurok-V for docking. After scanning, we land in the only possible place on the surface of Eurok-V. Before a successful landing, we will be ordered to turn the ship around, various options will appear, but regardless of the choice, we will still dock to the station. Before landing, we conduct a thorough scan. After landing, in the landing zone, we talk to Felek Orsellio, notify him of our status as a Rogue Trader and express interest in the Navigator. We ask questions about the current situation and learn that the station is filled with traitors. He will ask for help with activating the lift. You can agree or immediately kill Felek along with his assistants. Looking ahead, I will note that Felek is really “bad”, so you can kill him right now. Or you can help and deal with everyone later.

If we want to eliminate Felek right now, we first figure out how to help him and how to make the Control Rod. If we refuse aggression from the very beginning of the task, we will receive a phylactery with blood from him. Having collected all the necessary information, we can attack Felek again or ignore these mobs for now. The battle will not be easy given the number of opponents. There are eight mobs in the room, six of which are located as close as possible to the central part. If we attack them first, the battle will be less difficult, especially considering the abilities of Argenta, who can attack several enemies at once, then use running shooting for repeated shots. Hecate can do approximately the same thing if you chose her as the main character. Do not forget about the powerful spell “Electric Arc” from Idira. For fighters armed with ranged weapons, it is best to take cover, which can be used as columns or statues. It is advisable to equip even Abelard with a ranged weapon, since many enemies use rifles and tanking them in the open is incredibly difficult.

After the battle is over, you need to carefully examine the area and collect a phylactery with blood from defeated enemies. The door, which is right in front of us, leads to an elevator that is not yet working. To work, you need to get the necessary data and a special “key”. Opposite the elevator, we notice a blocked passage, through which you can get through by passing a simple athletics check. Having got to the other side, we find a couple of traps. Having neutralized them, we prepare for another clash with enemies that we met earlier. The space is divided into three platforms: the initial, central and located on the opposite side. Many opponents are concentrated in the central part, and they are easy to destroy. Then you will have to move through the center, using cover to get to the opposite side and finish off the remaining enemies. After the battle, be sure to collect loot from containers and cabinets, poke corpses.

On the northern side of the central platform there is a large door that you need to go through to craft the Control Rod, but it will be locked. On the opposite, eastern side, we find another door. Following it and disarming the trap, we move along the corridor to the south, where there will be a small passage. Having overcome it and successfully passed the athletics check, we get rid of the rubble and find a corpse with “Elegant Silk Gloves”, which increase the persuasion skill. I recommend equipping them on the character in the squad who already has a high persuasion skill. Further along the corridor there are two more doors leading to the same room. The final door will be locked, while the central one is open, but a trap is mounted in it. If it is possible to open a locked door without using a multi-key or a melta charge, it is preferable to use it.

If you can’t open the locked door without using a multi-key or a charge, it’s best to go through the room with the trap and neutralize it. There are several enemies in the room where both doors lead, but you won’t have to fight them. On the eastern side, we find two doors: one of them is locked, behind it are valuable items, including the “Carapace Chestplate”, which increases armor by 20% and load capacity by 10%, as well as the “Lasergun” sniper rifle. Decide for yourself whether it’s worth using the multi-key to unlock the door, although we’ll try to open it with technical skills first. The prisoners in the next room are useless. We head to the northern room to activate the Cogitator. Having resumed its work, we request data on the Navigation Stations to update the “Guide” task.

We check the log, switch to the main compartment control and open the doors on the level. Thanks to this, we will be able to open the previously mentioned large locked door in the previous area. When prompted to open the door, binary codes consisting of “0” and “1” will appear in front of us. There are seven options in total, so we try each of them until we see information about opening the door. We check the control of the main lifting mechanism and activate it. We return to the previous area where we fought the last enemies, and indeed we see an open door. We go through it and interact with various objects, extract resources from the box in the west. After completing all the actions, we follow the door in the east and get to the laboratory. We find a number of interesting objects for interaction. The main task is to interact with the device for modifying the “Control Rod”, which will lead to an update of the current task. We continue the passage of the prologue and the first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Lab puzzle with flasks

In the laboratory, we find a secret note describing an experiment, which specifies the ingredients to be mixed in four flasks. The order in which the ingredients are placed is as follows: from left to right, place a sample of mutated flesh, the H-41-OK infocrypt, Biogel, and Crystal Dust. To obtain Crystal Dust, insert the psycho-crystal into the converter located in the same room. As a result of this process, we obtain six universal antidotes. It is important to be careful: if you make a mistake, the flask will explode, and it will no longer be possible to fix it. Therefore, save in advance! We find the remaining ingredients in the laboratory or on the way to it. The station is quite compact, so we will have no problem finding the necessary components. Another note mentions black water, a piece of meteorite, and adamantium. All of these ingredients are considered useless. In addition, you can make 6 elixirs of warp immunity. The following components are required: Flesh Flask – Flesh Sample, Infocrypt Slot – Infocrypt K-04-OH, Catalyst Flask – Unidentified Acid, Reagent Flask – Adamantium Dust (must be converted in a grinder).

Now that the elevator is ready for use and the key has been redone, we head to the entrance to the location. If you left Felek and his retinue alive, you need to give them the key or still eliminate the targets. Before activating the elevator, make a save. Interact with the elevator and go upstairs, where you watch a cutscene with the Navigator. It is important to pass two checks during the dialogue: the first – for persuasion or pressure, the second – for persuasion or commerce. This will avoid further combat. If the checks are not passed, a battle will begin, which can be difficult, since we will be surrounded by enemies and will act without cover. Since this is not an ambush, we can still place the heroes before the battle. Opposite us are three opponents, another one is standing nearby, and the other is behind. After successful checks, a series of dialogues follows, and at any time you can attack the group. We invite Cassia to the squad. As soon as we are ready, we leave the station and return to the ship, where we watch a cut-scene with Cassia. We try to fulfill her requests.

Story mission “The Chosen Ones”

To begin this mission, we go to the planet Raikadi Filia, which is located south of the sun of the current system. First of all, we talk to the pilot Raquel to get information about the current state of affairs. Our task is to find Evain Winterscale. After talking to the pilot, we continue to explore the planet, starting with disarming the nearest trap. Then we open the gate and enter the building. We save the game, go a little to the south, find and disarm several more traps. We continue moving until we enter the battle. The battle is not particularly difficult, since the enemies are armed with melee weapons, and we can shoot through the metal fence. After the battle is over, we search the bodies and the room, although there is nothing particularly valuable here. We go into the corridor where the enemies were, open the next gate and go outside. Before heading south, first go north, open the gate and lower the metal platform, creating a bridge and a way back. Also before exiting the building on the right side we find a gate. If we break it, we will meet other prisoners. They have not gone mad, and it is possible to make a deal with them. You can kill the pirates or send them to your ship. In the second case, we will earn Schismatic points.

We return outside, head south and take the elevator down to the quarry. Save the game, as a battle against the crazy Overseer Castella awaits us. This will be an annoying fight. In addition to the Overseer, we are confronted by crazy prisoners with ranged weapons, but there are shelters nearby. Before the fight, it is worth noting two things. First, it is unrealistic to kill Overseer Castella directly. If his HP reaches a critical level, he will teleport and restore his health using one of three Unholy Lenses. There are three such mirrors in total. It is recommended to first destroy regular enemies and mirrors. The mirrors themselves are inactive and do not cause damage, so first shoot the prisoners. If there is no prisoner in the line of sight, attack the nearest Unholy Lens. At the end of the fight, a cutscene will start with Evain, who will be alive. Talk to him and provide assistance. Although there is an opportunity to kill Evain, we still decide to spare him. We collect loot from fallen enemies, search various containers. On the way back, we ask the pilot Raquel to escort Evain to the ship. We continue the walkthrough of the prologue and the first chapter of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader: Walkthrough – Chapter 2

Torn Spirit

After the events of the mission “Escape”, go on a voidship to the planet Futfall and dock at the void docks of Ro-Alpha. A representative of the local government will meet you at the port, but soon you will fall into an ambush of the local gang of Anvers. After the fight, another servant of the governor will approach you, who will decide to report your arrival to his master. Go to the other side of the docks and go to the Atrium. Go east to the Viceroy’s residence to see a potential companion, Jai, who is arguing with the local governor. This will begin the small assignment “Persona Non Grata”. After a short conversation, talk to Vladaim Tokara in the mansion. His comments about your arrival will depend on the decision made earlier.

Talk to the local Anvers gang to get the optional quest “Rot”. You can also get a mission from him. Ask about the xenos attacks on Footfall to get another rumor. When discussing Footfall and trading, you can choose between three main beliefs – Dogmatic, Schismatic or Heretic – for 3 points in the corresponding path. Vladaim Tokar will ask you to deal with the lack of food on Footfall, which will lead to the start of the quest “Hand of Hunger”. You can trade with Vladaim, as he is a representative of the Kasballika Mission.

Once you leave the Overlord’s domain, Vox Master Vigdis will inform you that the ship is ready to depart for the outer systems. Return to the voidship to automatically complete the mission. Although I recommend staying in Footfall and completing some side missions first. So let’s explore three more regions.

Shadow Quarters

While exploring the eastern part of Footfall, we find a transition to new areas and leave the current zone. We can go to the Atrium or visit the Shadow Quarters. We choose the latter. Upon entering the Shadow Quarters, we head west and see a cutscene with bandits. You need to be careful, as some of them use fire grenades. In this enemy group, Zola stands out with his powerful blows with an axe, but it is much easier to fight him than with the Chaos Space Marine. All mobs are quite mobile, so many attack first. They also like to group, which makes area attacks effective. In case of difficulties, it is worth returning here later, when we have better pumped up our characters.

After the battle, carefully examine all the bodies. It is important to examine Zola’s body to get Anver’s note, which starts a new side quest “Rot” (this same task can be started during a conversation with Governor Vladaim Tokara). Continue to the center of the Shadow Quarters, where you meet the Pest Control Officer and take another quest from him “Where the Shadows Are Deepest”. Then head north to the bar “Martyr’s Endurance”.

In the bar we meet Octaviana, who is standing behind the counter, and we get two rumors from her at once: “The Inevitability of Triumph” and “The Dropped Cargo”. In the northern part of the establishment we notice Gordey Skatov, sitting at a table, whose story will allow us to find two more rumors – “The Cache in the Old Bridge” and “The Cache in the Former Lantern”. In the west of the bar we find a room with Rizza from the Void Brotherhood. Having shared information about the meeting with the pirate ship, we will receive a 5% discount from her (apparently, the requirements for the profit factor will decrease). We continue the walkthrough of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Atrium

Head to the Atrium. You’ll likely see a cutscene with Hieronymus the Sorrowful right after you go down the stairs, which is part of Argenta’s personal quest “Lost”. In the Atrium, go down the stairs to the west to get to the main part of this area. Before continuing north, I recommend turning west first, to the southwest corner of the area, where you can meet First Mate Daggen. This will trigger a new side quest “Scum of Society” (read below).

Moving further north, we will find a large crowd of people. On the left side we see xenos imprisoned in cages. The opportunity to communicate with the barker provides a chance to ransom the prisoners, but this will reduce the profit factor by 2 points. Before heading north to the next location, it is worth going east to find another group of people. There is some kind of altar behind them. Having examined it from the north side, we find a note that gives access to the “Dreams and Stories” hearing. After that, we return and head north to the Viceroy’s residence.

Residence of the Viceroy

Upon entering the residence, we observe a scene involving Tokara and Jai. This moment triggers the quest “Persona non grata”. It is important to talk to Viceroy Tokara, learn about the current situation in the region, thanks to which we will gain access to a new rumor “The Emperor’s Angels in the Expanse”. During the conversation, the quest “Hand of Hunger” begins. At the end of the conversation, the opportunity to trade with Tokara is presented, and the side quest “Where the Shadows Are Deepest” is updated.

After the conversation, leave the palace, save and go down the stairs, where we will be stopped by a representative of the Chorda dynasty. In this dialogue, the choice of answers does not affect the outcome, since the NPC will still die, and we will fall into an ambush of Anver’s people. Despite the number of opponents (about 17), the fight is not particularly difficult, since they are all similar to those we encountered at the end of the first chapter. It is important to pay attention to the main enemy at the end of the location, armed with a sniper rifle. It is recommended to find cover and slowly approach it, it is best to send Abelard to this area, using all possible OP for quick approach (including a dash). After the battle, carefully search all the corpses to find a note continuing the side quest “Rot”, received in the Shadow Quarters. Return to the ship to complete the task and start a new quest “Return what was lost”.

To return what was lost

Now we are faced with the task of exploring the nearest solar systems. While on the space map, click on the icon in the lower right corner of the screen to open the global map of the Koronus Expanse. Carefully read the instructions for moving between systems, study the threat levels of the routes, designated in different colors – green, yellow, orange and red, displaying the degree of threat from low to high.

How to navigate dangerous routes without stopping?

We are currently in the Furibundus system. To discover other systems, you should use the button at the bottom of the screen, designed to create new routes. This will allow us to scan the surrounding area and identify other systems. The color of the route leading to each system indicates the threat level (the likelihood that during the journey to this system, some events will occur on your ship that will lead to a battle with mutants, the forces of Chaos, etc.). Before reaching our goal – the Telikos Epsilon system and the planet Janus – we will have to explore other systems. You will also receive Navigator’s Intuition for creating new routes (and rare random events). It can be spent to reduce the threat level on routes or to create direct routes from one system to another (3 Intuition).

It is logical to avoid the last option, spending money on reducing the difficulty of the routes (since when laying a new route, you spend 3 Intuition and get a “red path”, and to make it easier, you will have to spend an additional 1-3 Intuition, depending on the end result). However, there is a trick in the game. Move along any red or less dangerous route, and at the moment of your teleportation, press F5 for a quick save. If an event on the ship starts, before you get there, you will see a screen for selecting heroes for the squad. So press F8 on it for a quick reload. You will find yourself in the system where you wanted to move to, and avoid a battle!

In the “Sotto’s Grave” system, we head left and deal with pirates, the destruction of which will bring additional loot. In the system, we see the planet “Ice World”, where it is possible to deploy extractum to obtain Pastal, as well as a couple of “Space Dust” zones for collecting cargo and the “Shipwreck” area. Here the “Inevitability of Triumph” rumor received from Octaviana will be completed, and we will find the “Chartist’s Monocle”, which improves Commerce by 15 units. We continue the walkthrough of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

There are four planets to visit in the Avorius system. Scan the wreck of an unknown ship and interact with the drifting ship, which will lead to the quest “Enter the main Computing Cathedral” (described below). It is important to scan all four planets to find resources and install extractums for the extraction of Adamantium and Provisions.

In the Trinitos system we find “Unidentified Ships” at the entry point and to the west. We engage in space battles. There are also four planets to scan. On the planet Folstone in the northwest corner we find the “Monastery of the Order of the Hammer”, where we can send a shuttle to establish a colony, advancing the quests “New Ruler” or “New Ruler” depending on the gender of the Rogue Trader.

In the Omicron system, we find cosmic dust with resources and three planets. On the planet Savannah World, we encounter a magnetic storm, which is why we cannot visit it right now. Here we also receive the rumor “Eye of the Magnetic Storm”. On the planet Dead World, we complete text tasks: exploring the palace will bring the Phantom Sword and increase the profit factor by “1”, in the temple quarter we find the Holy Gifts and a blessed bolter casing. On the third planet, we install the extractum.

In the Mirror System, we choose between destroying enemy ships in the north or avoiding combat by going around the opponents. We scan three planets. On one of the planets, we discover an anomaly that allows us to land on the location “Bottomless Gap”, where there are supplies. Having collected everything we can, we leave the surface of the planet.

As soon as we get to the Telikos Epsilon system, a new story mission, “World Sculptors,” is automatically activated. As part of the “Return What Was Lost” quest, you need to go to the planets Janus in the same system, Chiava Gammu in Cranes, and Dargonus in Mundus Valantius. A separate story mission will begin on each planet. In particular, on the planet Janus, you will have to complete the “World Sculptors” quest. I will tell you more about it in this guide, but below. After successfully completing the quest, return to the global map of the galaxy and scan new routes for further travel. As you move toward the Cranes system, which is the next point in this quest, you will have the opportunity to explore additional star systems. This will allow you to discover new resources, interesting characters, or encounter unexpected events that expand your experience of exploring the galaxy.

In the Orsellio Providence system, we collect space dust and on the jungle planet we save animals by clearing a dam, which will bring the rumor “Eccentric animal lover”. There are also pirates in the system, guarding one of the planets.

In the Hundred Dreams Crossroads system, we explore five planets. One of them is defended by enemy ships, which present a difficult fight due to the presence of a frigate with fighters and the ability to inflict significant damage at a distance.

In the Viridica Pillars system, on one of the planets, we find the Ruins of the Inquisition ship, where we fight, during which it is important to destroy the Fencing Sphere, which only takes damage when other enemies die. After the battle, we search the soldiers to obtain the seal of the master gunsmith. At the site of the first battle, we find the key to the chest containing the Inferno pistol and the Tempestus Carapace armor. Destroying the ship will bring +5 to the Dogmatic path. On another planet, we find and install the Extraction.

In the Agatus Archides system we examine the remains of the ship and other planets. Nothing unusual.

In the Ardemat-II system, we land in the Recolliger plot, collect supplies and talk to Reta. You can trade or attack the pilgrim’s ship to increase the profit factor.

In the Septenta Gate system we find three planets and ships of the Enemies of Humanity. It is important to hold out for the specified number of rounds or destroy all enemies faster. We continue the walkthrough of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

In the Tenebriz Aquaz system, we complete part of Irliet’s personal quest “Eldar in Trouble”. On one of the planets, we find a mirror that is not recommended to be taken on board. There, we encounter unidentified ships that we will have to destroy.

In the Nolla Septum system we examine three planets without any special events.

Then we head to the Cranach system to complete the story mission “A Flame in the Darkness”. After completing it, we continue exploring the galaxy, heading north.

In the Pulvis Platinum system, we collect resources from space dust, explore the ruined ship, destroy mutants and decide what to do with Hann and his team. On the only planet, we mine Plasteel.

In the Silence Mer-Sergit system we explore four planets, on one of which we find a part of an archetypal mechanism, which leads to the rumor “Unidentified mechanism”. On other planets we install extractions.

In the Langrenn Belt system, we destroy a squadron of pirates, install extractions on three planets, pick up the lost cargo and destroy the pirates on the ruined station, completing the “Nest Xenoheresies” rumor.

In the Nameless Star system, we encounter warp projections that act as a sort of text quest. On the planet Oasis-V, we find an ancient bunker associated with the rumor “Never-ending War.” We need to open the bunker door by any means available and urgently start the ventilation. To do this, move along the left corridor until we see a room with a water tank on the right. Then we go to the next room and look for a valve to the right of the cogitator. After receiving the valve, we return to the tank, where there is a pipe opposite without a valve. We install the valve, turn it and return to the cogitator, choosing the second option to clean the bunker. Next, we inspect all the rooms and collect supplies. In the shower, we find a corpse with a key to the archives, and in the dining room – three corpses, one of which has a key to the warehouse. We use these keys to open terminals at doors that cannot be opened in any other way. When leaving the bunker, we encounter four turrets. I recommend stocking up on first aid kits and attacking them in close combat.

In the Forgotten Twins system, we complete Irliet’s personal quest “Eldar in Trouble”. First, we examine the ship’s wreckage in space to obtain resources, and on the upper right planet we visit the outpost, where we can give provisions in exchange for supplies and a needle rifle.

In the Mu-Ro 79 system, we explore two planets and the Explorator Void Station, transferring available artifacts to the Explorators.

In the No Man’s Worlds we examine planets and ship wrecks, but we don’t expect to find anything unusual.

In the Latoti Strait system, we land on the nearest planet in unknown ruins. We clear the rubble with a melta charge or go around the ruins, passing the Athletics check. Then we remove the stones from the pattern near the large tower and interact with it to repeat the star pattern at the entrance and open the chest in the mouth, from which we get an ancient psychic sword. We also encounter unidentified ships in the system – pirates, from whom you can pay off, pass skill checks or attack. The fight with the pirates will be difficult, so think twice whether it is worth engaging in it.

In the Mundus Valantius system, we complete the third and final story quest, “Spiders in a Jar,” which is part of the main mission. After a series of conversations, if we have completed the tasks on Chiava Gamma and Janus, the current mission will be completed. We continue the walkthrough of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Sculptors of Worlds

The current main quest is automatically activated when moving to the Telikos Epsilon star system. I advise you to save before landing on the planet Janus. Upon landing, after meeting with the governor, we will fall into an ambush. However, the battle will be quite simple. We continue to destroy the enemies, which will be joined by a new group. At the end of the fight, a cut-scene will start, we will meet with the governor again. During the conversation, we learn about a certain Irliet, who in the future may become our comrade. We ask about the events taking place on the planet. Before returning to Futfall, we will have to deal with the rebels. We talk until we exhaust all options. In parallel, the mission “Governor’s Assistant” is activated.

After leaving the palace, open the map and look for markers indicating four characters:

Vincelex: A techno-mage in the northwest of the location. He will share information about the flora and fauna of Janus.

Irliet: located in the west. We talk to the girl on all topics, which will lead to the completion of the task “Governor’s Assistant”. Irliet will join our team.

Atilius Quintus: Located in the center of the area. He documents all events on Janus. You can learn about Governor Wyatt from him, as well as the situation on the planet. This will lead to the emergence of a new rumor “Never-ending War”.

Security officer: in the eastern part. He plans to get rid of the rebel hiding in a small building. There are two options: let him do what he has planned or stop him and try to negotiate with the rebel. Let’s go with the second solution. We find out the reasons why the rebels rebelled against the governor and learn about their leader. To enter the building, you need to pass a test (strength, attentiveness, pressure or technology), and in a conversation – a persuasiveness or pressure test. This is the only way to learn about the rebel leader. At the end of the dialogue, you can leave him alive, execute him according to the law or guarantee a quick death.

Right after finishing the conversation with four key characters, we will be able to find another one, but there is no marker on the map. We head to the northeastern part of the territory, to the eastern side of the palace, to find the old servant. He will share information about what is happening inside the palace. Regardless of the chosen answer, the old man will die from poisoning. We return to our ship. Before boarding the shuttle, if we still have not met Irliet, she will come to us, and we will be able to call her to our team. Trying to return to the ship will allow us to get to the Janus forests that Irliet mentioned. In the jungle, we head north. On the left side there will be an athletics test. Before going down, we can go north, where the rebel camp is located. These rebels disappear after completing the storyline on Janus. If you wish, first go to them and fight, or visit this place a little later and avoid the battle. After saving, we complete the athletics test. Overall, this will be a fairly easy fight, but you should eliminate the sniper in the northwest as soon as possible. There is a servitor in the north, which is best killed before it gets close to your heroes.

After the battle, we talk to Irliet, who will share information about the xenos leader and answer other important questions. We discuss Wyatt, collect the necessary supplies. First, we head north, where there will be a small chest. Along the way, we disarm the traps, and then we move southwest. In the lower right corner, we find another place with an athletics test, which leads to a chest with a trap. We return to the small beach and move northwest. We save, since an ambush awaits us further. After eliminating the enemies, we continue to go north, disarming the traps. Having reached the bridge, we save again. We head north to face the rebels and their leader. Depending on the answers chosen in the dialogue, you can change how the potential battle will turn out and whether it will take place at all. On the path of the Schismatic, you can even enter into an alliance with the Eldar.

The rebels are ordinary people under the control of the Eldar, who manipulate their perception. Depending on our actions, we enter into battle either only with the Eldar, or with both them and the rebels, which significantly complicates the battle. In a conversation with Muaran, we avoid aggressive statements until we reach the moment when we can “Nod to the rebels” and use a pressure test to awaken their consciousness. If successful, the rebels will help in the battle against Muaran and the Eldar. If the test ends in failure, we can offer Muaran a deal and unite against a common enemy. To do this, we pass the test along the path “Schismatic – Follower” and offer to jointly destroy Vistenza. We continue the walkthrough of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the StopGame.Ru website.

Regarding Muaran, I would call his main advantage a high probability of dodging, which makes it almost impossible to hit the enemy. On the other hand, he does not have many health points (compared to other bosses). Another distinctive feature is Idira’s ability “Electric Arc”. We use “Identify Vulnerabilities”. We attack the Eldar with Idira’s “Electric Arc” or other abilities that do not react to the dodging of this race. After completing the battle, we talk to Irliet, after which we can leave her in the squad, kick her out or simply kill her. I chose the first option. If we decide to invite her to the team, her first personal quest “Eldar in Trouble” will automatically start. If the rebels fought on our side, we decide on their fate (for example, spare them, earning Schismatic points). A shuttle will appear in the south to return to Governor Wyatt. If you haven’t visited the northeastern corner of the location and haven’t destroyed the rebels, they will disappear, giving you the opportunity to search the place.

When returning to the palace, be sure to save. Talk to the servant and ask for an audience with Wyatt. If you follow the Heretic’s path, go there alone to activate the corresponding dialogue branches. I went into the room with the team. In the conversation, go through all the options until we tell about the rebels’ hideout. This will begin the battle against Wyatt, her assistant and guards. Wyatt can be eliminated before the battle to reduce the number of opponents. In this case, tell Vistenza about what we managed to find out. Accuse her of treason, ineffective management on Janus. Choose the Schismatic Follower option or another option using persuasion. The sectarian maid will kill Wyatt and run away to a secret lair. Examine the candles in the right corner to find one with which you can interact and open a secret passage. Save and move deeper into the location. Before entering the room, prepare for battle. Pass through the room with officers who are not aggressive yet, until we see a ritual in the far room. Divide the group: send half to the left side of the hall, leave the rest at the entrance. Place as far from each other as possible, since the mobs have stun grenades.

The main target is the lady-in-waiting, who summons demons every turn. By killing her, we will make all summoned creatures disappear. Snipers will be useful. If Vistentia is still alive, we will have to take care of her too, but in this case the battle will be more difficult, since Wyatt will be able to heal his allies. After the battle, we discuss further cooperation with Irliet or disperse. Regardless of the decision, we search the bodies and the room before leaving the palace. We report to Atilius about Wyatt. We leave the palace and return to the ship to complete the quest. We can send food to Footfall or refuse. If we send food, we will earn +15 Schismatic, +5 Profit Factor, 350 experience points and 3 mobile extractiums.
