Warface: how to win on the Bank card

Tips and Tricks for Winning the New Blitz Game Mode Map

With the recent update, the MMO shooter Warface has a new map for the Blitz game mode called “Bank”. It is a bank room with a vault, where the first team must defend the laid charge, and the second – to neutralize it within a certain time. The appearance of the Bank card is timed to coincide with the release of the special operation of the same name, the passage of which we described in a separate article. In the same guide, we will tell you how to win on the “Bank” card: we will reveal information about the main positions, tactics and some useful tips for achieving victory.

Features of the mode

Blitz mode is a classic team battle, but with a pre-installed bomb. The players of the first team defend the charge, while their opponents try to prevent the detonation of the explosives. The members of the attacking team themselves choose the available paths to approach the explosives, since there are several key points and places of opening of passages (assault points) on the map that cannot be activated by members of the defending team. In a sense, it is the attacking team that sets the rhythm of the game and determines the place of action of direct collisions with the enemy.

Map features

The map is a closed room with several corridors, a balcony on the second floor and a main hall. In the main hall, in front of the vault, there is a charge. The attacking team can carry out an assault both in one specific direction, and in several: occupy the available assault points and the second floor of the building.

Basically, the “Bank” map is dominated by short and medium distances, so all classes except “sniper” will be useful for shootouts in the corridors on the first floor of the bank. The shooter, in turn, can cover teammates from the balcony of the second floor, where he has an excellent view of the main hall of the bank and the installed charge. We discussed this key position in more detail below.

Key Points: Ground Floor

  1. Assault Points: As we noted earlier, such points can only be used by the attacking team. At the beginning of each round, these points are closed, but you can detonate them with explosives and open the passage to certain corridors of the bank to get to the charge.
  2. Joint actions: represent a “pod” on the second floor. Since this zone has no locked passages, then, by analogy with the “assault points”, if the second floor corridor is not defended by members of the opposing team, you can freely enter the enemy base. It is worth noting that the defending team has a great advantage, since there is a staircase in the main hall, along which any player can climb to the second floor.
  3. Key positions: On the map above, you can see several key positions. These are the main positions in which clashes between fighters of two teams will most often occur.

Key Points: Second Floor

There are three key positions in the second floor corridor:

  1. Balcony on the second floor: a great place to control the installed charge. This position can be taken by both the attacking and defending sniper. In both cases, the sniper monitors the enemies and shoots the enemies he meets in the center of the location.
  2. Ladder to the second floor: before the attacking team reaches the main bank hall, this ladder can be used by all members of the defending team. It is worth noting that this is not always a good idea, since having reached it, in most cases opponents who have used the point for joint actions on the basis of Warface can already await you. Of course, this is not always the case, but nevertheless, it is better not to take risks and take a more advantageous position in advance.
  3. Window to the second floor from the side of the attacking team: at the moment we cannot highlight a useful use for this key point, since usually the corridor on the second floor is occupied by both teams.

Tips for attackers

Since the map is mostly dominated by short distances and narrow corridors, it is logical that in both teams, players are better off using the Medic class. This advice applies to both offensive and defending teams.

You should not carry out an attack from several points for the assault at once, because in most cases, if the defending players manage to hold back the onslaught and get rid of the attacking fighters, they will be able to freely move around the attacker’s base and go into the back of the still living fighters. Do not forget that even one point for the assault opens access to almost all the passages to the base of the defenders.

If your team has stormtroopers or arrows, try to take a position in the corridor on the second floor as soon as possible. If you do not hesitate, you will find yourself in a winning position and will be able to meet enemy reinforcements in time in the opposite part of the corridor. No matter how mobile the fighters in the defending team are, to get to the second floor, they need to spend a few extra seconds more.

Once on the second floor, you may not encounter active resistance. But this does not mean that you need to relax. Usually, the medics of the defending team try to occupy the second floor using the stairs from the main hall. Be sure to monitor this position.

If you managed to get rid of enemy players and take control of the corridor on the second floor, use the balcony to track the movement of the enemies. But do not stay here for a long time, as opponents will try to take you by surprise.

Before defusing the charge, we recommend using smoke grenades in this area. Thus, you can confuse the fighters of the defending team, and the attacking fighter of the “engineer” class is able to deactivate the bomb in a matter of seconds. During deactivation, try to stay behind cover as much as possible, since part of the area with the bomb can be viewed from the balcony, where in most cases an enemy attack aircraft or sniper will be waiting for you.

Tips for the defenders

The main mistake most players make when defending on the Bank card is that they try to take positions close to the established charge. In particular, two small corridors that lead to bypass rooms (rooms with assault points) become such positions. The players of the attacking team try in every possible way to throw battle grenades at these positions, and also use smoke grenades to impair the visibility of opponents and get closer to them.

We recommend not to run in a “crowd” and disperse over key positions, from where the assault on the attacking group can begin. If at your position the assault point was not blown up, but you heard an explosion from one of the other key positions, you can always change your deployment location and help your comrades repel the incoming enemy forces.

If you decide to occupy the second floor from the very beginning of the round, even if you meet the timings, then after the joint action in the corridor several enemy fighters may already be waiting for you (we wrote about this above). Usually, the attackers immediately try to “throw” the opposite end of the corridor with combat grenades, therefore, once on the second floor, you should wait a few seconds, and only after that go out to firefight with your opponents.

After clearing the second floor of enemies, stormtroopers or archers of the defending team can use the balcony to control the installed charge. It should be noted that opponents can start deactivating the charge from behind cover. In this case, it is worth throwing a combat grenade behind cover. You don’t necessarily kill the enemy, but you can scare them away and win a few seconds for your team.

Remember that it takes at least 7 seconds (for all classes) and at least 3 seconds (for engineer class) to clear a bomb. Try to keep attacking players away from the set charge as long as possible.

In any case, you should always remember that Warface is a team game, and the final result will always depend on the coordinated actions of all members of your team. Listen to your teammates, cover them and try not to run to the breach alone, as this tactic is obviously a failure.
