Skill checks

To successfully deliver a line, you need to be more proficient in the communication skills required to deliver that line. You can see the skill level by hovering over the dialogue option. Moreover, you will immediately be shown a comparison of the skill level between you and your interlocutor.

In the current scenario, you have two dialogue options to choose from. The first option, “She has nothing to hide,” is linked to the Psychology parameter. Emem’s Psychology is “2”; Journey’s Psychology is “1.” Therefore, Emem has a higher chance of success when choosing this line.

The second option requires persuasion. Emem has a persuasion value of 0, while Journey has a persuasion value of 2. So if you choose this option, Journey will ignore your attempt to calm her down.

This means that in this situation you should choose the first dialogue option. Also, when checking skills, Willpower can be used – blue ROMs in the upper left corner of the screen. If you have a low Willpower indicator, you need to use consumables or win confrontations to increase it. Otherwise, you will not be able to perform skill checks.

After choosing a dialogue option, listen to Journey’s response and the conversation will continue. Eventually, you’ll get your first chance to ask questions. Dialogue disciplines

After a short conversation with April, you’ll be introduced to another dialogue mechanic: disciplines. These allow you to use your vampire skills to persuade and influence your opponents. They work much like standard skill checks. If your discipline level is higher than your opponent’s, you’ll defeat them.

The main difference is that they do not require Willpower. Instead, using disciplines increases your hunger, which can be reduced by using consumables or drinking blood. You will later learn that some characters are immune to these abilities, although the game does not tell you this in advance.

The option you are given in this conversation is presence. It can be used to control opponents. Choose “Positive April” and you will see that April is not susceptible to discipline. You will also receive your first trait. Traits are usually acquired through specific choices in the game and negatively affect statistics or percentage changes. You have received a trait, due to which your next purchase of skills in the “Psyche” branch will be 10 XP more expensive. Ghaleb Bazori

When you enter the main part of the Boston Court, the second playable character, Galeb Bazori, will appear in the game. He is talking to his companion, Sui Feng. Testing Focus Skills

Focus allows you to increase your stats mid-conversation for a fee. When a skill check comes up and you can’t match your opponent’s level, you’ll be able to increase your stats by two levels at the cost of a much higher Willpower. This means you simply can’t use it on a regular basis. It’s best saved for tough encounters or when you need more information.

There are two things to note about focusing on skill checks. You cannot focus (increase) a statistic that is currently at “0”. Your opponent can also focus, and most opponents focus more often the more often you focus.

In the current conversation with Hilda, you will see that your Rhetoric is “1” and Hilda’s is “2”. Hover over the “Does she know anything about Code Red?” option and then focus your Rhetoric stat to “3”. Hilda will also use focus, raising her Rhetoric stat and defeating you.

Probably, during the first playthrough of the game, you will not have enough abilities and skills to successfully complete each test. At the very beginning, we select the starting profile (detective, jack of all trades, veteran or free), after which communication with Prince Iverson begins. The first time you will hunt according to the plot, although at the level you can drink the blood of two characters. At the very beginning, when you were going through the tutorial, you can find another safe place. If you drink blood from the 2nd vessel, you will get more experience to unlock and improve skills. Next, follow the scent of Journey, along the path that leads through the archives. The door will be locked, but we can still get behind it in two ways: we can use the right key card or, if we have the first level of technology, bypass the lock and get inside without a key card. We take the key card, which is on the object to the right of the entrance, and go back. We go to the archives, which can be thoroughly studied, since there are several interesting points here. One of these places is a huge safe, which is built into the wall with file cabinets, and it can be found to the right of the entrance. To gain access to the safe, you need a PIN code. One of the additional tasks will be the following: we need to find out why Journey was in the archives. If we follow her scent, it will lead us to a cabinet with papers. We will find a torn page in it. We can use Insight to track the smell of ink and find a new trail. We follow the trail to Abigail’s office and in her office we go to the ashtray with a message. How to unlock the Rat Eating talent

Eating rats is an alternative, but not the best way to fight hunger. Each rat eaten only slightly increases satiety, and at the same time slightly increases the level of suspicion. But at certain moments, we simply will not have a choice. There are many rats in the prison of memory, and if we eat several of them, we can open a talent called “Rat Eating”. It increases the amount of satiety that we get when eating rats. In our cell, you can find 3 rats. If we go to the central part of the region, where there will be an icon “Jefferson Library”, and follow further to the right, we will find two more. Eat them all, and you will unlock a new talent.

How to Unlock Guided Hunt Talent

The talent called “Controlled Hunting” increases the efficiency of satisfying hunger when using people as vessels. Unlocking it is not difficult: you need to drink blood from any person, but if you want to unlock the talent as quickly as possible, then from the “Jefferson Library” we go to the left side, to the main support, and then go a little to the left. We drink the blood of the prisoner. If you drank blood twice in the first scene, then Emem will unlock a new talent. If you did not do this, do not get hung up: in this scene you can meet even more people.

How to find a decoction and potion

In this quest, you can find two types of consumables – potions and decoctions. With the help of decoctions, Emem will be able to satisfy her hunger without having to drink someone’s blood. A very useful item, especially if you need to activate vampire skills, the satiety level is low, and there are no people or rats nearby. The potion is used for other purposes. We use it if we decide to go explore the prison of memories. With the help of the potion, we can increase the level of the discipline “Expressiveness”. And we can also slow down time. We use the potion and go to the handles in the far corner of the library to gain access to the cells on the right and left sides. We can also find two additional decoctions in the library: one lies to the right of the entrance, and the second is on the barrels. As for the potion, you should look for it on the table to the left of the entrance.

How to get all Emem’s memories back

Emem has only fragments of memories in her head, while the rest are hidden in the memory prison. If she fails to find them all, she will lose a large number of memories. This is an additional task, but as you understand, it is best to find all the memories. This will allow you to find out information about Emem and Hilda. There is a traitor in the clan, and if our conviction is too low, we will not be able to defend ourselves and will have to answer Hilda’s questions. Hilda’s conviction is four, so defeating her is extremely difficult. You can also talk about the time spent in the memory prison. Scene 11

How to open a locked gate

At the beginning of the scene, we will see a locked gate. Use Insight in front of it to find a hidden message. This clue indicates that the answer should be found on the ceiling. If you look up from where you are now, you will see numbers on the fans. Return to the gate, look up and remember the code – 0158. Another way to bypass the gate is to use teleportation, which is available to Emem. If you move away from it and go to the open area, you can teleport along the outer part of the hall. Repeat this action several times to go around the gate. The only drawback is the high cost and increased hunger. Teleportation increases hunger, and its repeated use will quickly reduce the satiety reserves. Therefore, you should not waste satiety on the gate, since they can be opened with a code.

Kill or spare the agent

In the last part of this scene, we must get rid of the enemy. Before the virus is uploaded, an agent will enter the room. Seeing Emem, he will become alarmed. We interrogate him and find out where we can upload the virus. After that, we need to make an important decision. We can spare or eliminate the agent. Decide for yourself, since in fact this will not affect the plot in any way. If we spare the agent, we will receive a trait called “Mercy”, which increases persuasion, but weakens intimidation. However, Emem has practically no dialogue later, so this trait will not be useful.

Then we’ll need to find the server room. The SAD military is practically everywhere, and we’ll need to get past them somehow. It’s not hard, but it might take you a while to gather more information.

Where to find the fan control key

One of the problems Emem will face is a working fan. There are three enemies on this level, and you will have to eliminate them all. You won’t be able to fight them all at once. To distract them, you will need an air conditioner, although the system is currently blocked. To activate it, you need a key, and it is behind the fan control unit. In the box where the tools are, we look for the control key. We return to the fan and we will be able to intercept its control.

How to kill all guards

As soon as we get access to the fan, we will have to distract the enemies. We go to the control panel and press the “12” button so that one of the enemies goes into the room on the left side of us. How to raise a server

Once we get to the server room, we’ll find that the real server is located underwater. We need to raise the server, and how we do this depends on Emem’s current settings.

Slow down time

If we can slow down time, we can solve the puzzle almost immediately. To raise the server, we press two buttons on the other side of the room. We have five seconds to press both buttons. We activate teleportation, slow down time, press the first button, and then immediately go to the second button. The server will rise from the water.

Teleportation

If we can’t slow down time, then raising the server will be more difficult. We go to the far room and press the second button. Thanks to this, we will raise the container from the water, located in the middle of the space separating both buttons. We press the first button, teleport through the gap and press the second.

How to find out the identity of a traitor

The last chance to find out the name of the traitor. At this point, we can use the server to search the large Second Inquisition database. Then we enter special keywords and look at the information to uncover the truth. There is little time, so we need to act quickly. At the moment when we hack the server, SAD soldiers try to break down the door. Quickly enter the following data: Codename + Informant, Accomplice + Informant, Jara Drori + Interrogation, Corvus + Personality. Then we open the sound file and listen to its contents. We find out the name of the traitor.

Server password

To upload the virus to the server, you need to find the password. We return to the search function and enter several search queries: Administrator + Password, Organization + Creation.
