We tell you how and when it is better to use the unique and ultimate abilities of the agent Omen
Omen is one of the most challenging, yet most interesting and effective agents in Valorant . In this guide, we will describe all the skills of the fighter, as well as give tips for using them.
Paranoia skill
The skill has one charge and is purchased from the in-game store during the shopping phase. Therefore, you can use “Paranoia” only once per round. Upon activation, the agent unleashes a shadow charge in front of him, briefly blinding the players he touches. The charge goes through any obstacles.
Advice:
- Even if you blinded an enemy unit with a shadow charge, he can still see you, albeit with difficulty. At this point, the screen of the blinded user turns gray and the view is reduced to a small ellipse in the center of the screen.
- The skill is best used when there is a group of enemies in front of you (or you know the group is behind a wall). In this case, they will become easy prey for Omen, since they will not be able to cover each other.
Skill “Dark Veil”
The skill consists of two charges, after the use of which it is restored over time. When activated, Omen selects a shadow sphere and shows the range of its use (analogous to a smoke grenade). Using the RMB and E keys, you can adjust the installation range of the sphere. You can place the sphere through any obstacle and cover.
Advice:
- Such a sphere is perfect for both assault on an enemy position and for retreat. After dropping to the ground, the sphere completely blocks the view in range, but while inside the sphere itself, you can still see.
- Due to the ability to pass through walls and shelters, Omen has the right to place the sphere in a location that is not in line of sight for the hero.
Hidden Step Skill
The ability is a short distance teleport. When activated, Omen chooses a shadow step skill and shows its range. You cannot change the range, as it is fixed, but instead you can climb high obstacles, boxes and other ledges. This is a very difficult but useful skill that cannot be used universally.
Advice:
- When the ability is activated, a small dark spot appears around the agent, which signals the enemies about your movement. At the same moment for a few seconds you lose control of the character and become an easy target for opponents even after teleportation. Therefore, it is important to use the skill in a place where there are no enemies.
- If opponents “trapped” you in any corner, you can activate a hidden step on the spot, thereby confusing enemies. They may think that you have moved to another place and will not even realize that you have stayed there. Use this to your advantage.
- As we said, with it, you can teleport to small obstacles and surprise enemies with your appearance.
- In conjunction with the “Dark Shroud”, you can get out of an unpleasant situation using a teleport.
Out of the Shadows Skill
This ability is ultimatum and is charged by eliminating enemies, as well as collecting orbs on the game map. When the skill is fully charged, Omen activates the tactical map, and the user can choose any location for teleportation. During teleportation, Omen appears in the form of a shadow, which can be destroyed by the enemy to cancel the movement. If this happens, the hero will receive minor damage, but will remain in the same place.
Advice:
- Usually the whole team is sent to one point to install Spike. But it also happens that opponents are already waiting for you at the installation site and simply do not allow you to enter. In this case, the “From the Shadows” skill will come in handy: just teleport behind your opponents and make at least one or two “minuses”. Even if you die, it will not only distract enemies, but also signal to your teammates that the path is clear.
- Another effective way to use the ultimate is to teleport to the enemy respawn at the very beginning of the round. This way you can track where the enemies are heading, as well as make some quick kills.
