Things to do after completing the story in Wuthering Waves

At the moment, the plot component of Wuthering Waves consists of only six chapters of the first act, after which the player will have to do various daily and weekly things before the release of the next ones. Actually, in this article we will analyze what you can do after completing the plot, what is the point of it and, most importantly, the key benefit.

Daily tasks

Every day the player is given 8 tasks, most of them are determined randomly and may ask to do the following:

  • Complete the daily quest.
  • Raise character, weapon, echo level by 1.
  • Perform echo adjustment once.
  • Craft something once.
  • Craft food once.
  • Complete the specified activity. It is important to note that to complete this option you do not need to spend energy and collect the reward.
  • Use any food 1 time.
  • Kill X enemies or an enemy of a certain class.
  • Use an ability or ult X times.
  • Collect X resources.

For each completed task, you get from 10 to 40 points, and you need to get 100 in total to collect 5 chests with a reward. From them, you will receive 60 donation currency, 20,000 main currency, 6 reagents to increase the level of the character \ weapon \ echo (2 for each), a random echo and, perhaps most importantly, 2000 account experience. In my opinion, this is the main point of logging into the game every day for at least a couple of minutes, and after completing all the quests, this is the easiest way to get a solid amount of experience without any costs \ losses.

Quests of the regions

If you still have research quests after completing the story, you should immediately go and complete them. The thing is that in addition to a rather useful reward (for example, from 600 to 1000+ account experience), they remove negative factors from certain regions and in one case open up additional functions that slightly transform the surrounding area.

Below is an example of such changes:

  • Sea of Flames – The soil no longer places a damage over time debuff on the character, making it much easier to explore the region.
  • Giant Banyan – The debuff that causes you to be thrown out of the region after a certain period of time disappears. This makes the exploration process much easier.
  • Fallen Grave – the fog disappears, preventing exploration of a large part of the region, and also preventing farming of opponents who live near its border.
  • Tiger’s Maw Mine – the ice hiding the ore nodes disappears from the mine, and a unique merchant becomes available. For ore, you can buy a solid amount of reagents for character development and a chest with a purple weapon of your choice from him once.
  • Court of Savantae Ruins – Several reward chests become available, other than that I haven’t noticed any changes.

Among all the options above, I recommend starting with Tiger’s Maw Mine due to the fact that the region has two quests and after completing the first one, the second one opens after 24 hours of real time.

Bank level

The bank level is probably the second thing after the account level that you should do to effectively develop your character. It directly determines what grade of echo you can get, and the higher it is, the greater the bonuses to the character’s characteristics.

First you need to reach bank level 15 and with the help of the tracking function it is quite easy to do:

  • Open the bank’s “Echo Gallery” tab and see which of the collected variants are still blue three-star grade.
  • Select the blue grade option, click the “Track” button and then the “Detect” button.
  • You go to the specified marker, kill the enemy, go to a new marker, etc., until you knock out the purple four-star grade option.
  • If after killing another enemy the message “Detection target not found” pops up, it means that this type of enemy in your world has ended and you need to wait for the daily reset or visit the worlds of other players.

After reaching level 15, repeating the above procedure, you only need to gain 5 more levels and reach the limit. Unfortunately, you will most likely stop at level 18 for a long time, since for 19 and most likely 20, you need an account level of 40. By the way, after reaching level 15, you can use the following trick to simplify leveling:

  • Go to the “Data Merge” section and merge all unnecessary blue grade echoes.
  • The reward will be purple grade echoes and because the system considers them caught, they will be given bank experience.

Farm echo

Echoes are the main equipment that, due to a number of specific reasons, you will have to farm for a long time, at least until you get a more or less acceptable or even ideal option. There are only 4 reasons:

  • The first is the grade, which affects the amount of the bonus to the characteristics. For example, the attack bonus for the purple grade is +15, and for the gold grade it is already +20.
  • The second – echoes drop with random main characteristics. And as I understand it, the pool of available characteristics depends on the enemy.
    • Third, echoes can drop with different set properties. Considering the point above, you might get an echo with the right stats but the wrong set property.
    • Fourth – after tuning, the echo acquires random additional characteristics. In combination with the two points above, you can easily screw up the ideal version and have to farm a new copy.

As an example of the above, I have been farming the enemy Flautist for almost three days to get the following echo from him: increased electric damage + increased damage + set property on the electric variant. Having collected 24 variants, I have not yet received the desired combination, what is most interesting is that among them there are only 2 variants with a combination of “electric damage + damage” and both are purple.

Pharmaceutical reagents

Some basic reagents needed to break through characters and weapons can be bought from various NPCs or farmed in the open world by collecting flowers and killing enemies. Since the NPCs have limited supplies, they will run out at some point, so it’s best to farm the reagents you need in the world right away. They are restored every day and thanks to the combination of a guide with a description of enemy drops + tracking function, interactive map + sonar (for flowers), the farming process should not cause any difficulties.

Energy drain

Wuthering Waves, like many popular gacha projects, contains an ill-fated energy system that is tied to all sorts of vital activities for character development. Since its automatically restored amount cannot exceed the maximum possible cap, it is important to drain energy every day so as not to stupidly lose the excess.

You decide for yourself what exactly to waste your energy on, but in my opinion the priority list is as follows:

  • Weekly bosses (60 energy, 3 times a week) – they drop reagents needed to unlock the final passive abilities. At least get the amount needed to unlock each passive.
  • Bosses (60 energy) – they drop reagents needed to break through a character. Even if you can’t break through a character at the moment, it’s best to save the required amount for the future.
  • Forgery Challenge (40 energy) – they drop reagents needed to break through weapons and improve abilities. Here we also collect the required amount for the future breakthrough.
  • Simulation Challenge (40 energy) – they drop reagents needed to level up the character and weapon. If you have already broken through the character \ weapon, but have not pumped it up to the maximum allowable value, then safely ignore the two options above.
  • Tacet Field (60 energy) – they drop random echoes and a reagent to increase the echo level. The situation here is the same as with the point above.
  • After that, everything else.

Closing the world and activities

Well, the last point is the standard closing of the world and activities. That is, explore all regions 100%, complete all side quests, close all world activities, collect all collectibles and close available difficulties in all activities that do not require energy.
