The etiquette of the mosque

The mosque is an important topic in Islam. Like other synagogues, mosques are not just any synagogue. Theoretically and practically and historically, it is something different, rich in its own characteristics. The mosque is a sacred place of worship by Muslims. But the mosque has also played important social roles in the history of the Muslim Ummah. The mosque was the main school of the Muslims. Social court. They are not merely symbolic. The nation’s synagogue has its schools and courts, and in all walks of life, it becomes much easier and more meaningful for the nation. Other religions control a particular religious category. Throughout the history of these religions, as a result, a variety of spiritual and social disasters have occurred. An abstract example of this is the Church system of Christianity.

But in Islam there is no concept and history of such control. Islam, in a very meaningful way, thinks mosque is a sacred house. Any Muslim who builds this house can cultivate a special reward by cultivating it. The construction and cultivation of mosques has been greatly encouraged. And Islam thinks that building a mosque is the main purpose of keeping the mosque alive through prayer and zikir. But sadly, the mosque is no longer bearing this importance in the Muslim community. The mosque has lost its historical significance. What is the main cause of the mosque in Islam? Lack of proper understanding and knowledge about the role of the mosque in the Muslim society, the rules and regulations of the mosque. These topics are discussed briefly here.

The location of the mosque

The mosque has special and extraordinary importance in the thinking of Islam. This importance has been centered on various causes and backgrounds. The following are some of the following: –

One.  The Prophet’s house, the Prophet’s house, said: ‘ When a community comes together in the house of Allah. “[Muslim: Hadith No. 4] Allah Ta’ala added:” And the mosque is originally from Allah. So do not worship anyone else with Allah. ”[ Jubilee: 1 ] According to Islamic scholars, the mosque has been called “the house of God” in honor of the mosque in order to give its place of honor and purity.

Two. The mosque is the best place on earth and the most beloved place of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (।) said: ‘The best place for God is the mosque, and the best place. “[Muslim: Hadith No. 4]

Three. The mosque is the place of prayer for prayer, which is the second foundation of Islam.

Four. The members of the Muslim community assemble at the mosque five times daily and get acquainted with each other. Thus, the mosque plays an important role in developing a son-to-heart relationship with other members of the society.

Digestion. One of the evidences of the special status and importance of the mosque in Islam was the construction of a mosque for the Muslims, which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) first noticed after the migration to Medina. And thus the first mosque of Medina was established.

Benefits of building a mosque

Islam has strongly encouraged Muslims to build mosques, and has announced a special award for it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘ Allah will build a house like a mosque in Paradise for the sake of Allah who has built a mosque to his satisfaction. ‘[Tirmidhi: Hadith No. 272]

If you build a mosque in the right way, you can go to Paradise – the Hadith is carrying this good news. However, in the thinking of Islam, the important thing than the construction and cultivation of a mosque is to remove it economically. And the actual construction of the mosque is the cultivation of the mosque through Salat, Yikir, etc. Many rewards have come to Islam for this real cultivator of the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said (one who goes to the mosque in the morning, one is made an address for him in Paradise every time he travels.)

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah says: “It is they who worship the mosque of Allah, who believe, in Allah and the Hereafter, and establish prayer, pay the Zakat, and fear none but Allah. So it is expected that they will be among the guided ones. ”[ Surah At-Tawbah: 1 ]

Mosque Provisions:

The mosque has many manners and provisions. Some of the important ones are listed below.

Except for craftsmanship, the building is beautifully made, because craftsmanship is a pious act. It lost the attention of the worshipers and spread the tendency of arrogant competition in the society about the construction of the mosque. In the hadeeth narrated by Ibn Abbas, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, I was not instructed to decorate the mosque. Ibn Abbas also said that they must decorate mosques, as did the Jews and Christians.

Imam Bokhari said. Said, Omar. He ordered the mosque to be built and said, “I am protecting people from the rain.” Be careful! Red and yellow do not color. People will be deceived. Anas said. He said people would compete in building the mosque, but very few people would plant the mosque.

  1. It is forbidden to build a mosque in the cemetery or build a graveyard in the mosque. Because the veneration of the tomb even becomes a means of falling into worship. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Thecurse of Allah Ta’ala has turned the graves of their prophets into mosques over Jews and Christians. ‘[Bukhari and Muslim]

Jundub said. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had heard five vices before his death, one of which was the warning about converting the grave into a mosque. The narration states: ‘The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to build mosques for the graves of the prophets and righteous people before you. Be careful! Do not make the grave a mosque. I forbid you from this. There is no valid prayer other than the funeral prayer at the graveyard. ‘[Muslim]

The mosque should always be kept clean. It is forbidden to defile the mosque or put in distressing things there. The Messenger of Allah (।) said: ‘It is wrong to spit on a mosque, its remedy is to cover the ground. “[Nasai: Hadith No. 4] to remove it from the ground where it is not possible to cover the soil. Because Allah’s Messenger (।) did so.

Going slowly and calmly to the mosque. Do not rush or run. Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam said, ” When you come to Salah, you must maintain patience.” Whoever gets the piece will earn it. And it will fill what you don’t get. “[Bukhari: Hadith No. 1]

To enter the mosque will enter with the right foot. Get out with the left foot. Anas said. Said: When circumcision enters the mosque, it enters with the right foot. And when it comes out it will go out with the left foot.
There will be a blessing on entry and exit. The Messenger of Allah (সাল) said:

Therefore, the intercession of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the blessings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Narrated by Muslim: 1165

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ” If people knew, what was the result of praying in Azan and the first Qatar, and it could not be achieved without lottery?” For this, people used to play lottery. And if he knew what was the benefit of coming to the mosque before, he would have competed for it. “[Bukhari: Hadith No. 1] And whoever comes first to the mosque, should not be excluded from his first row without any reason. Shaykh-ul-Islam bin Taimiyah. He said that the person who sat before and left the first row, violated the law.

Coming too late in the prayer deprives itself of greater welfare. The Messenger of Allah (।) said: ‘ Come first and worship me. And those who come after you will stand behind you. God will delay those who are late. ‘[Muslim: Hadith No. 12]

There are many benefits to coming to the mosque for prayer – from the very beginning of the Jama’at, to reciting the Qur’an, and the opportunity to perform nafal prayer. The blessings of the angels; Because angels continue to pray for such a person. From the waiting of the prayer, to achieve the prayer of the prayer. Because sitting in prayer waiting to be immersed in the original prayer.

The two rak’ahs who enter the mosque will not sit without the Tahyatul Masjid. Abu Qatadah Ansari said. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ” When one of you enters the mosque, he should not sit until two rak’ats are offered. “[Muslim: Hadith No. 4]

When Imam Jumu’ah enters the mosque while giving Khutba, two rak’ats will be offered in prayer in a nutshell. Leave The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that when one of you enters the mosque and the Imam is in the position of Khutbah, two rak’ats can be recited in short.

It is Makrooh to speak loudly in the mosque, to annoy the person or the reader of the Quran. Whether it’s because of simple words or because of recitation aloud. It is a crime to hurt the neighbors rather. The Messenger of Allah (।) said, ‘Adalakari speaks secretly with his Lord. So, he should be careful what he is saying. You do not speak loudly to one another through the Qur’an.

The muktadi will always follow the Imam. No task shall be performed before the Imam or immediately. Will not collect too much delay.

The Messenger of Allah (।) said: ‘The Imam has been created to follow him. Then do not dispute with him. When he says Allahu Akbar, you say Allah Akbar. When he does Ruku, you go to Ruku too. When he says of Samiullah laman Hamda, you say Allahm Rabna wa Lk Praise. When he prostrates, so do you. When praying sitting, you should all sit down and pray. “[Bukhari: Hadith No. 4] The Messenger of Allah (সাল) said that something which was forbidden to do before the Imam,” He raised his head before the Imam , did he not fear that Allah would make his head or donkey his head? Make the shape of a donkey shape. “[Muslim: Hadith No. 4]
