Unlike amulets, making talismans in Red Dead Redemption 2 won’t be that easy. For them, it’s not enough to just kill a legendary beast , you’ll have to find a couple more very rare ingredients.
In our guide we will tell you how to do this. All talismans are made by buyers. One of them is waiting for you in Saint-Denis.
All Talismans in RDR2
In addition to the five talismans listed below, there is one more. It is only available to those who have purchased the Special or Ultimate Edition. Owners of the regular edition will not be able to get it. This item can be used starting from the second story chapter. Just equip it through the wardrobe.

Alligator Tooth Talisman (Civil War Handcuffs)
This talisman reduces the rate at which Dead Eye status is consumed by 10%. Ingredients:
- Civil War Handcuffs – obtained by sending the first set of cigarette cards as part of the “Smoking and Other Hobbies” side quest. We wrote about this quest in more detail here .
- The Golden Composite Bracelet is a female piece of jewelry that is a random drop from heists. For more information, see the last section of this guide.
- Legendary Alligator Tooth – Dropped by killing the Legendary Alligator in the Lagras Swamps. You can track it down no earlier than Chapter 4.
Bear Claw Talisman (Quartz Piece)
This talisman permanently reduces the rate at which health status is consumed by 10%. Ingredients:
- A piece of quartz – you will receive it for sending the first coordinates of dinosaur bones as part of the additional task “Test of Faith”. We are preparing a detailed guide for this quest. In the meantime, you can use screenshots 2 and 3 to find the bones near Valentine.
- The Gold Earring is a female piece of jewelry that is a random drop from heists. For more information, see the last section of this guide.
- Legendary Boar Tusk – Drops from killing the Legendary Boar north of Lagras. You need the area above the letters AT in the BLUEWATER MARSH inscription on the map.
Bison Horn Talisman (Abalone Shell Fragment)
This talisman causes your stamina status to deplete 10% slower. Ingredients:
- Abalone Shell Fragment – This item can be found on a table inside the wooden house in Rhodes. Enter through the side door and you’ll literally bump into the tabletop you need.
- The Silver Earring is a female piece of jewelry that is a random drop from heists. For more information, see the last section of this guide.
- Legendary Bison Horn – Dropped by killing the Legendary Bison, which lives northwest of Valentine near Lake Isabella.
Raven Claw Talisman (Ancient Brass Compass)
This talisman slows the wear of all weapons by 20%. Ingredients:
- Ancient Brass Compass – You can pick it up on the table in Francis Sinclair’s house after completing the “Geology for Beginners” side quest. All the details in this guide . If you don’t pick up the compass right away, the hut will be locked later. Try this trick: save right next to the house you need, then load it right away. This helped us open the door and re-enter. If you forgot where the house is, here’s a screenshot:
Where to find earrings and bracelets in RDR2?
When crafting talismans, you will need 4 randomly dropped female jewelry: a gold compound bracelet, a silver chain bracelet, a gold earring, and a silver earring. Here are some tips on how to get them:
- Be careful when selling items to a buyer. They go into a common pile and cannot be bought back later.
- Such decorations do not drop when robbing men. Even if you kill 500 people, you still won’t get what you need.
- It’s a good idea to rob trains. They often carry enough wealthy women who can afford jewelry.
- Another good idea is to rob houses where women live. The necessary jewelry can be hidden in bedside tables. We remembered three such houses, we advise you to check them out. The first is the hermit’s hut at the source of the Little Creek River, the second is the house of old lady Watson. Both are located west of Valentine. The third is a large building in the swamps of Lagras (see screenshots below).
