The Pak-American Institute of Management Sciences (Pak-AIMS) is a well-established private higher education institution in Lahore, Pakistan. With a history spanning nearly four decades, it has evolved from a management learning center into a recognized degree-awarding institute, now known as The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) . It has earned a strong reputation for providing quality education in management and computer sciences.

History and Evolution

The Institute’s journey began in 1986 in Lahore as the Canadian School of Management – Lahore Learning Centre . It was later renamed the Pak-American Institute of Management Sciences (Pak-AIMS) to reflect an articulation agreement with the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York (CSI/CUNY), USA .

In 1995, it received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the University Grants Commission (now the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) for chartering . This culminated in its official charter by the Government of Punjab under Punjab Ordinance XXIII of 2002, officially renaming it The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) . Today, IMS functions as a full-fledged, degree-awarding institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan .
