Fixed and Mobile Speed Cameras

Waze

Let’s start with Waze , certainly one of the most used navigator apps on Android. This software is able to detect speed cameras for free in real time: free and particularly reliable, the app can therefore show the desired route and, on the map, the position of fixed or mobile users who have been previously reported by the users themselves. .

As soon as your car approaches within 500 meters of the speed camera, Waze emits a beep to allow you to moderate your speed. We remind you that among the other features of this app there are also the reporting of petrol stations, limited traffic areas, accidents, average speed and much more.

Radarbot

Less famous than Waze, Radarbot can also be mentioned in the best speed camera apps .

The software is able to immediately notify the driver of the presence of these devices, fixed or mobile, as well as traffic lights controlled by cameras, tunnel detectors and many other potentially “risky” points.

Among other features, we also point out the presence of a speedometer that can record and display the different speed limits to which it is advisable to follow during an itinerary, with current, maximum and average speed, and which allows you to establish your own personal limit. Whenever the speed is exceeded than permitted or preferred, an audible warning is activated.

We also remind you that this app is compatible with all the main GPS navigation systems and map apps, and that it allows you to take advantage of different display features, in order to find your favorite.

Google Maps

Famous and used around the world, Google Maps is the navigation software of Alphabet, the holding company of Google. Since 2019, this important app has also integrated speed cameras in our country, which are thus promptly reported without having to exit the application.

To be able to check the presence of speed cameras along the route we have to travel, simply indicate the arrival destination and click on the directions. The icons relating to the position of speed cameras will be shown on the map, and the app will also warn the driver of the vehicle when the car is approaching a speed detector.

Moreover, as happens with Waze, of which Google Maps has coined some of the features, the information is made available thanks to the collaboration of users. Therefore, anyone can collaborate in the improvement of the effectiveness of Google Maps and offer their help to other motorists who, interfacing on the same route, will thus be able to know which speed cameras they will encounter, and where they are correctly positioned.

Moreover, as is easily understood, Google Maps allows not only to report fixed speed cameras, but also mobile stations with speed detection. Also in this case, the information thus collected by Maps will then be shared with other users of the same app, exactly as it happens with other equally valid software such as Waze.

Fixed and mobile speed cameras

Another – the last – app that we want to share with all our readers is the one called Fixed and Mobile Speed Cameras . It is an app that allows you to see fixed and mobile speed cameras throughout Italy, and which makes use of Google maps (see above), integrating them with the information that users share on the software every day.
