Speech on Gandhi Jayanti – Speech on Gandhi Jayanti in Hindi 2019

Respected Manyavar, Principal teacher, teachers and my dear friends, my greetings to all of you. On this auspicious occasion, all of us have gathered today to celebrate a lovely festival which is called Gandhi Jayanti. All of you are warmly welcome here. It is my good fortune that today on this holy occasion, I have got an opportunity to put my words on Gandhi Jayanti in front of all of you.

Today we are all gathered here to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. On this day i.e. 2 October Mahatma Gandhiji , the great leader of the country, was born. Therefore, Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2 October . Gandhiji is the power who liberated India from the slavery of the British for 200 years on the basis of truth and non-violence.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on 1869 in Porbandar in Gujarat. His full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Gandhiji is also called the father of the nation and all the people of India affectionately call him Bapu. His father’s name is Ramchand Gandhi, he was the Diwan of Rajkot and mother’s name is Putlibai. His mother was a woman of religious views.

Every year his birthday is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti to remember, honor and pay homage to Bapu’s great deeds. Gandhiji walked the path of lifelong truth and non-violence. The whole world has adopted this principle of his. This is the reason that his birthday is also celebrated as “International Non-Violence Day” .

Mahatma Gandhi was a prominent political and spiritual leader of the Indian independence movement who always followed the path of truth and non-violence and considered it his weapon. He never resorted to violence to liberate the country and always talked to his comrades to liberate the country by adopting the path of non-violence.

He is a famous person in the history of Indian independence for taking the concept of Satyagraha, who inspired freedom movement from all over the world towards civil rights and freedom. Gandhiji expanded his non-violent non-cooperation movement to include Swadeshi policy, which meant boycotting the same made by the British.

He also advocated the use of khaki instead of foreign clothes adopted by every Indian. His teachings are still in the blood of every Indians.

Gandhiji was the protector of humanity, he was the assistant of the day-sorrows and the priest of non-violence. He dedicated self-life for lifelong social welfare and national welfare. To help the Indian people achieve independence from British rule, they organized the Non-Cooperation Movement, Salt Satyagraha and Quit India Movement.

He went to jail many times but never lost his perspective and continued his fight peacefully. India was finally freed from British rule on 15 August 1947.

His contribution to the freedom struggle cannot be described in words. We can say that Bapu along with Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Naidu, Lala Lajpat Rai and other other revolutionaries forced the British to leave our country.

Many of his policies, especially non-violence policy, proved to be the biggest weapon in the independence of the country. Neither do we forget his sacrifice nor can we ever forget it.

On the day of Gandhi Jayanti, the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” was also started by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi . Bapu dreamed of a “Clean India” for which he wanted all the citizens of India to work together to make the country clean. This is the reason that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was started on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. on 2 October.

It is our duty to keep the country clean. Just as we all unitedly drove the British away from India for the independence of the country, in the same way, to keep our country clean and to throw the dirt out of the country, we also have to join together and clean up.

On Gandhi Jayanti, a tribute is paid to Mahatma Gandhi at his mausoleum at Rajghat in New Delhi, by prayers, flowers, hymns etc. by the Prime Minister and President of India. He is still remembered as a symbol of peace and truth among us. His favorite devotional song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” is sung in his memory. Which I also want to sing in front of you today.

Lyrics of raghupati raghav raja ram for Gandhi Jayanti on Gandhi Jayanti

” Raghupati Raghav Rajaram,Fallen holy sitaramSita Ram Sita Ram,Bhaj pyaare tu SitaramRaghupati Raghav Raja Ram,Fallen holy sitaramGod is your name,God bless everyoneRaghupati Raghav Raja Ram,Fallen holy sitaramLike Ram Rahim KarimWe all have their childrenRaghupati Raghav Raja RamFallen holy sitaramEveryone got this boonOur human knowledgeRaghupati Raghav Raja Ram,Fallen holy sitaramJai Raghunandan Jai Siya RamJanaki Vallabh SitaramRaghupati Raghav Raja Ram,The fallen holy Sitaram. ”

Thank you to all of you for listening faithfully to this Bhasana and for giving your valuable time.

Jai Hind!! Victory to India!!

Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts were very amazing, these ideas separate him from the thoughts of another person. Gandhiji had an important principle ‘Ahimsa Paramo Dharma’ which means that non-violence is our religion and following this principle, Bapu fought the freedom of India walking on the path of truth and non-violence. I hope you will like the speech on Gandhi Jayanti ( Speech on Gandhi Jayanti in Hindi 2019 ) or article on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti . If you like this speech, then share it with your friends and family.
