Sijvin – Genshin Impact Character Guide

Fortress Meropides is a dark and gloomy prison, practically an underwater city, where its own laws and orders reign. Everything there works according to a strict schedule, but the Sidgvin infirmary is an exception. It is open almost around the clock and everyone is welcome there: sick guards or wounded prisoners – it doesn’t matter. They will cure everyone.

And we will talk about the main medic of the fortress Meropides in the article. We will find out how to assemble Sidgvin, which commands suit her best and what gameplay features she has.

Genshin Impact Hero Description

Sijvin is a Hydro archer who can both heal and cripple. In battle, she summons special bubbles that not only restore HP, but can also attack enemies. So do not look at the girl’s harmless appearance, she still lives in the fortress of Meropides and knows how to deal with violent patients.

In fact, our good doctor is a Melusine in human form. And like all representatives of this genus, Sidgvin has rather specific taste preferences, so her “nutritious dishes” can be very healthy, but disgusting to the taste. That is why the inhabitants of the fortress of Meropides try not to abuse their health, so as not to receive a special lunchbox from the doctor instead of their usual food for lunch.

How to get Sidgvin

Melusine is an event legendary and can only be added to your squad during the character’s event prayer.

The banner is called “Romarin Serenity” and will appear in version 4.7 from July 25 to July 16, 2024. So if you are reading the article during its action – have time to grab the archer. Along with her, you can get Ka Ming, Rosaria and Noelle.

Strengths and weaknesses

Pros Cons
  • A good healer. Despite the rather low percentages in talents, in fact, Sijvin’s healing will be enough even for the Abyss.
  • Easily gains a lot of HP to power up his skills due to a fairly high base and the increase in this stat when ascended.
  • Can receive bonuses to his buffs due to the elemental skills of characters “in his pocket”.
  • Works well with Fontaine characters due to the Life Debt and HP loss mechanics.
  • Needs a signature weapon to be most effective and has very few weapon alternatives.
  • If you focus your build on healing your squad, then the ultimate is practically useless.
  • Building a DD sap requires large investments: signature weapons and ideal artifacts.
  • Poorly applies Hydro status due to the limited bubble mechanics.
  • Easily replaced in any packs.

Talents and abilities

Basic skills

The main priority in pumping is the E-class. It not only heals, but also attacks with Hydro damage and buffs allies. After it, you can pump the ult and, lastly, the basic attack.

Skill name Purpose Skill Description
Targeted treatment Normal attack Fires a bow, attacking enemies with a 3-attack combo.
Charged attack Charges a shot and aims, accumulating Hydro energy. When fully charged, the weapon periodically summons Compassion Bubbles that deal elemental damage to enemies. When fired, the arrow deals Hydro damage to the enemy hit.
Attack in the fall Fires a hail of arrows and falls to the ground with them, striking an area.
Bouncing hydrotherapy Elemental Skill (E) Takes out a pistol with hearts and releases an Invigorating Bubble from it, which jumps between enemies and hits them with Hydro damage depending on Melusine’s HP.

When the bubble bounces, all squad members are restored to health. There can be 5 bounces in total. When it disappears, allies also receive healing. If there are no enemies nearby, the bubble bounces near the active character.

Long-pressing Sidgwin aims and blows out a large Invigorating Bubble. For each level, it heals and cripples by 5% more. When bouncing, growth levels disappear. If the enemy is weakened, the bubble absorbs them and prevents them from moving.

When activating the skill, 2 Source Drops appear on the field. If they are absorbed, Sidgwin will receive a Life Debt equal to 10% of his HP. When this status is removed, for every 2000 units of Debt, one unit of energy is restored (no more than 5 units).

Arche: Usia:
A Blade of Turbulent Waters drops at the location where the Invigorating Bubble hits, dealing Hydro damage based on the archer’s HP.

Supersaturated injection Elemental Burst (Ulta) Takes out a huge syringe and releases a stream of kindness and medicine from it, periodically dealing AoE Hydro damage. Absorbs 2 Source Drops in a small radius around him.

Passive Talents

Skill name Activation Skill Description
Emergency Dosage Immediately upon receipt While underwater, the active character is healed to 50% of HP if their health falls below half. Sidgwin also grants them 10% resistance to all damage for 10 seconds.

Occurs once every 20 seconds.

A good rest is required 2 rise After activating E-shka, Melusine gains the status of Semi-Forced Rest, which gives her 8% Hydro damage and 10 levels of Recovery. When characters’ skills “from the pocket” attack enemies, levels of Recovery are spent and the damage of skills is buffed. For every 1000 units of HP Sijvin (above 30,000), the damage increases by 80 units, up to 2800.
Meticulous diagnostics and treatment 4th rise Melusine’s healing increases by the amount of Life Debt applied to all characters in the party: 3% healing per 1000 status points, but no more than 30%.

What weapon to install

Heartstrings of Rain

As we wrote above, the best in slot weapon for Sidgwin is her signature bow. The thing is that it doubles her health when the conditions are met and gives a huge increase to healing and damage. At level 90, the bow gives 542 attack power and 66.2% HP.

The weapon’s wielder gains the Potion effect, which at level 1/2/3 increases HP by 12/24/40%–24/48/80%. To activate the damage, one of the following conditions must be met:

  • Activate E-shka (the level lasts 25 seconds);
  • Get Life Debt (level lasts 25 seconds);
  • Restore HP of allies (level lasts 20 seconds).

The levels are activated even if Sijvin is not on the battlefield. If all three are active, the ultimate gains 28-56% critical hit chance. This effect wears off after 4 seconds from the moment the number of levels drops.

Recurve bow

Right after the Sigma comes the 3★ bow. The thing is that this is the only ranged weapon, except for the Sigma Sijvin, that can give HP to the wearer. At level 90, we will get 354 and 46.9% HP.

The passive here is very simple: the weapon restores 8-16% of the wearer’s HP when defeating an enemy. But you will rarely activate it, since Sidgvin has very modest damage.

Aqua Simulacrum

This bow is best used in a DD build if you decide to play this way. But overall, it’s not the worst option for Sidgwin due to its passive. At max level, the bow gives 542 attack power and 88.2% critical damage.

The passive ability of the weapon gives 16-32% HP to the wearer, which is not bad for our Melusine. And if there are enemies nearby, then the damage of all attacks increases by 20-40%. It works even “from the pocket”.

War Bow of Favonius

Well, the selection of weapons is completed by a universal support set – the Favonius weapon. However, for it to work, Sidgvin must consistently hit with critical attacks, which means her critical hit chance should be at least around 50-60%. At maximum pumping, the bow gives 454 attack power and 61.3% energy recovery.

The entire support potential of the weapon is hidden in the passive. Critical hits with a 60-100% chance generate elemental spheres that restore 6 energy. The effect occurs once every 12-6 seconds.

Best Artifact Sets

Song of the Past

The best set for Sijvin can be obtained in Fontaine. Two of its parts provide a healing bonus of 15%, which allows you to heal your allies more effectively.

Four parts create the Striving effect when healing, which records all healing received, including overhealing. When the healing is complete, Striving is converted into Waves of Old, which increases the damage of all attacks of the active character by 8% depending on the HP restored. The effect wears off after 10 seconds or after 5 activations, and can record a maximum of 15,000 HP at a time.

Sea color clam

This set has similar mechanics, with the only difference being that the recorded healing here does not buff allies, but deals additional damage. Two pieces of the set provide a 15% healing bonus.

Four parts create a Sea Paint Bubble for 3 seconds, which records the amount of HP restored to allies. After the time expires, the Bubble explodes and hits all nearby enemies in the amount of 90% of the healing. In total, the effect can “remember” up to 30,000 HP.

2+2 combo

Well, the top 3 is completed by a build of 2 parts of different sets. There can be different combinations, treatment + treatment, HP + treatment and others. But we recommend combining the sets Millelite’s Fortitude and Vurukashi’s Radiance. This way you will get 20% HP from each set, and this is important for all of Sijvin’s skills.

Squad options

The first squad will be called “Freezer”. It consists of 2 Hydro and 2 Cryo characters, so the enemies will be frozen almost constantly, and you will be able to beat them without any problems. However, this is a rather expensive pack, because it requires 4 event heroes at once.

We take into such a squad:

  • Sidgvin;
  • Risley;
  • Furinu;
  • Shen He.

The second option can be called “Quarry”. This is also an expensive, but extremely effective squad that will easily cope with difficult content in the game: from bosses to the abyss (if you are lucky with buffs, of course).

The pack includes:

  • Sidgvin;
  • Navia;
  • Tiori;
  • Furina.

The third pack works on Dendro reactions, so let’s call it “Watermelon”. Here you can already play with the characters: Sidgvin acts as a healer and is easily replaced by other heroes. But if you have Furina, then Melusine becomes the best healer option for the squad.

This pack contains:

  • Sidgvin;
  • Nahida/Al-Haytham;
  • Raiden/Fischl;
  • Furina/Xing Qiu.

ell, the last, fourth squad is called “Electroshock”. This is a team with a quick switch of heroes, where it is important to constantly maintain statuses on enemies. So you will definitely need an Anemo hero to “inflate” Hydro (remember that Sidgvin gives very little of it).

The squad includes:

  • Sidgvin;
  • Yae Miko/Bei Dou;
  • Fischl;
  • Kazuha/Sucrose.

Constellation

Constellation level Name Description
1 “Do the happiest souls know anxiety?” The Invigorating Bubble gains 3 more bounces and after activating the held skill, it does not consume growth levels on the first 3 jumps.

Also, each bounce gives Sijvin one level of Recovery, and the buff from the passive “Needs a good rest” has been increased: damage is increased by 100 units instead of 80 (no more than 3500 at a time).

2 “Can the most merciful of souls defeat their enemies?” After using E or ult, a bubble shield is created with a strength of 30% of Melusine’s HP. It absorbs Hydro damage with 250% efficiency.

When hit by an Invigorating Bubble, the affected enemy’s Hydro resistance is reduced by 35%.

3 “Can the healthiest of souls cure fever?” Gives +3 levels to elemental skill.
4 “Can the fairest of souls stop decaying?” The duration of the ult is increased by 3 seconds.
5 “Can the most joyful of souls deliver from torment?” Gives 3 levels to ult.
6 “Will the brightest of souls offer prayers for me?” When healing characters, the critical hit chance and critical damage of Sijvin’s ultimate are increased. For every 1000 health, the critical hit chance increases by 0.4% (up to 20%), and critical damage by 2.2% (up to 110%). The bonus lasts for 15 seconds.

Now you’ve gotten to know the healer from Meropides better. We wish to get her into your squad as soon as possible. And remember: Sidgvin has a very specific taste.
