Seven;Deadlock Character Guide

Seven is a dangerous serial killer who escaped from death row. Previously, he was in the harshest occult prison, where he dealt with his jailers. Before he was caught, it is unknown what kind of activity he was engaged in. Now he is free, many people are afraid of his actions.

Seven;Deadlock Character Guide

Seven has a signature attribute – a classic 20th century long-barreled machine gun that fires in short bursts. The cartridges in the magazine are energy clots, since the entire gameplay of this hero is connected with electricity.

Capabilities

Seven is a specialist in electricity and weapons. All of his abilities are based on using them together, which can be a deadly force. Additionally, depending on the build, he can deal high damage from a distance or be an aggressive fighter who is not afraid to face his enemies face to face.

The first and third skill are the main farming abilities. The second skill and the ultimate are aimed at enemy characters. Playing as Seven, you get the advantage of flexibility, as you have a versatile build and can become a valuable fighter for your team.

Items

Seven’s build focuses on increasing his fire rate, reload speed, and Spirituality. Additionally, certain items can enhance his abilities and make enemies more vulnerable to electrical attacks.

Early game

  • Ammo Scavenger
  • Mystic Reach
  • Basic Magazine
  • Extra Stamina
  • Infuser

The main items for the laning stage will be Ammo Scavenger and Mystic Reach. The first item will help you stay in the fight longer, replenishing your ammo supply after each successful hit on creeps and ejected souls. The second simply increases the range of your abilities, which is especially useful given the hero’s spiritual abilities.

As an additional item, you can consider the inexpensive active item Infuser if the opponents in the lane are weaker than you and you are ready to fight them. Basic Magazine will increase the damage and the number of bullets, and Extra Stamina will make you more durable and mobile.

Mid game

  • Soul Shredder Bullets
  • Boundless Spirit
  • Improved Spirit
  • Tesla Bullets
  • Mystic Vulnerability

To successfully complete the early stages of the game, it is worth purchasing Tesla Bullets and Soul Shredder Bullets. These items will make you the most formidable opponent on the map at the moment.

In the mid-game, when more mass battles begin, it’s worth focusing on powerful items for your main stats: Boundless Spirit and Improved Spirit. The first one boosts one of your abilities, preferably the ultimate. The second one simply increases the effects of Mystic Reach.

Late game

  • Bloodsucker/Leech
  • Escalating Exposure
  • Diviner’s Kevlar
  • Siphon Bullets
  • Veil Walker

In the late game, Escalating Exposure and Leech will help you. The first item increases Spiritualism damage and reduces the resistance of this attribute in enemies. The second is used by many duelist heroes with high damage. Towards the end of the game, this item will double the benefit of each hit on the enemy.

Additional items

  • Spiritual Overflow
  • Warp Stone
  • Unstoppable
  • Updater/Refresher

If you’ve been dragging it out for a long time and farming well, consider buying Unstoppable and Refresher. The first one will add to your survivability and give you more options in the game. The second one will allow you to use your ult twice, thus causing more damage.

Spiritual Overflow will reduce the cooldown of skills and add lifesteal with spiritualism. Warp Stone will give a chance to avoid damage and survive in a teamfight.

How to counter

Heroes

Shroud/Haze – due to its mobility, it can often be exchanged and deal a lot of damage. It is able to interrupt the cast of the ult for a while with its first skill, after awakening its duration will continue.

Warden – applies numbness with skill 3, and due to Seven’s poor mobility, this can lead to death. When going into exchange, he can start restoring health with his ultimate.

Kelvin/Kelvin – Slows down movement and shooting with his third ability, making 1v1 difficult. Can also save his team from your ultimate by closing you in his dome.

Lady Geist/Lady Geist – constantly takes away your health indicator with the help of the second and third skills. At the last moment of a favorable fight for you, she can swap your HP with hers.

Items

  • Knockdown– will cancel the ult after 3 seconds of use, you will be stunned and helpless.
  • Curse– will interrupt the use of the ult and prohibit the use of items. While under the effects of silence and disarm, you will not be able to do much.
  • Unstoppable– when applied to yourself, the enemy will be able to calmly deal damage to you when you are in the Thundercloud state.

Gameplay

Regardless of what gameplay you choose for Seven, the first skill will help you keep the enemy at a distance from both creeps and you. Farm creeps and attack the enemy with projectiles under skill 3 or by throwing skill 1.

Once you get your ult, try to use it right away. For example, go to the next lane and help your allies. The ult deals a lot of damage even without items, so killing someone won’t be difficult. While the ult is on cooldown, go back to your lane and farm. Visit neutral monsters along the way.

In the early game, provide yourself with survivability, mobility, and ammo with the help of items. Then, in the midgame, try to get the Warp Stone as your first item. It will allow you to use your ult perfectly. Increase your Spiritism and then your ult will deal more and more damage.

If you have too many stuns against you, you can skip a few items and immediately buy Unstoppable. To painlessly break into teamfights and help your allies.

It’s always worth keeping in mind that Seven can turn or comeback any game in solo thanks to his ult. But this highly depends on the directness of your hands, because if you do it poorly, the hero will be useless.

As a reminder, Seven can become a key marksman if you level up his basic Spiritualism stats. He’s an easy-to-learn character that’s great for beginners. If you’re familiar with shooters like VALORANT and Overwatch 2, a couple of games on the character should be enough to get a feel for how he works.
