Before performing any type of cleaning, it is essential that you wash your hands or use sanitized gloves.
How to clean the bottle?
Remove the seal from the bottle before opening it, then wash it with neutral detergent, rinsing it well. If you prefer, you can also use a paper towel moistened with alcohol.
Then, remove the entire lid before fitting the bottle into the drinking fountain; thus, you prevent possible microorganisms and seal residues from contaminating the water.
How to clean the drinking fountain?
First, it is important to unplug the equipment. Then, prepare a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach for every 4 liters of water to be used for cleaning. Moisten a sponge in the solution and clean the inside and outside of the water cooler. Let stand for 5 minutes. Let the water that has accumulated inside the water cooler drain through the taps. Then wash the reservoir with pure water, repeating the process at least 4 times. The drinker tray must be washed in the solution prepared with bleach and rinsed with running water.
Water purifier
After unplugging the appliance, external cleaning can be done with a damp cloth or sponge and with the help of detergent or mild soap. The cleaning of the water outlets can be carried out using flexible rods with cotton at the ends or a toothpick wrapped with cotton. Moisten lightly (lightly!) In bleach or alcohol and pass it through the water outlet of the purifier. After that, allow about 2.5 liters of water to drain to remove any remnants that remain. But don’t throw the water away! You can use it to clean bathrooms and floors, for example.
