This is the reason why you should not consume coffee in the morning

Many people start their day with a cup of coffee to boost morale. Either mixed with milk, lots of sugar, or left bitter, coffee is a routine drink for many people in the morning.

Unfortunately, actually coffee is not the right drink to consume, especially as the first drink in the morning. Because, as reported by The List, consumption of coffee on an empty stomach is not recommended.

Regardless of when you consume coffee, drinking too much can cause various effects on the body. This can make the body nervous and cause various things such as mood swings.

This impact can even occur when the stomach is not empty. Therefore, the impact will be more severe when the stomach is empty.

“This can increase the amount of water that comes out and has the potential to cause symptoms of dehydration,” explained Adam Simon, chief medical officer at Push Doctor.

“This (also) has an impact on heart rate, causing irregular beats by putting pressure on the heart, but it can also have an impact on blood pressure,” he continued.

Another reason for not taking coffee in the morning

Coffee consumption close to waking hours can increase cortisol which can adversely affect ovulation, body weight, and hormonal balance. Carlyn Rosenblum, nutrition expert also mentioned that this can cause problems in intestinal health.

Furthermore, coffee that has undergone the decaffeine process is known to still be able to increase stomach acid production. On an empty stomach, this can hurt the stomach especially when done repeatedly.

Therefore, it is recommended to eat breakfast first before you consume coffee. Even better if coffee is consumed more later. It is recommended to start consuming coffee about two or three hours after you wake up
