The word Qunut (قُنُوت) comes from Arabic which according to the language has several meanings namely: obedience, sincerity, obedience, standing long, and silent. As for the term is a prayer that is read by someone when performing the prayer.

From a different reading point of view, it turns out there is a division in the qunut prayer that we need to know together.

First, the Qunut Morning Prayer

This qunut prayer prayer is a qunut prayer read by a person, or a priest while performing a prayer prayer. While a priest reciting the qunut prayer, then just substituting the suffix of nii ( نِي ) means I am naa ( نَا ), which means us (priest and pious)

The following is the qunut prayer that is read during the morning prayer:

“I love you, my favorite movie,” he said.

wa qinii birahmatika syara maa qadhait, fa innaka taqdhii wa laa yuqdhaa ‘alaik, wa innahu laa yadzillu man walait, wa laa ya’ izzu man ‘aadait, tabaarakta rabannaa wa ta’aalait,

And give me protection from all the evils that You have confirmed. For you are the One who decides and no one decides what you will. Surely those who You have given authority will not despise. And will not be the glory of whom You have found. All your blessings and all your glory.

Praise be to you for everything you make sure. I ask for forgiveness and return (repentance) to You. and mercy, mercy and blessing to the Prophet Muhammad and his family and friends.

This qunut nazilah prayer is a prayer that can be read at times other than the prayer of prayer, where the meaning of the qunut nazilah prayer has the meaning of seeking protection from God from all adversity, including in times of war.

Here is the qunut prayer reading:

“O Allah, break up their unity and unity. Reduce their steps, and bring down on them your punishment, that you will not be turned from the wicked. ”

B. The Law of Reading the Qunut Prayer

In legal terms, there is a legal difference in reading the qunut prayer. As scholars, of course, they all have their own ijtihad, and this is certainly not a foreign matter.

The differences regarding the issue of reading the qunut prayers are as follows:

First , the qunut reading of the dawn is reduced to continuous reading. As one of the hadith reads:

عَنْ َنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكَ قَال «:« مَا زَالُ رُسُولَّ اللَّهَ صَّلَّى اللهُ اللََهْ وِسَلَّمَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى فَارَقَ

Meaning:

From Anas bin Malik said: “The Messenger of Allah. never left even a qunut until he left the world ”(HR. Ahmad)

The scholars who held this law were Imam Malik, Imam Shafi’i, Ibn Abi Laila, and al-Hasan bin Shalih.

Second , the Opinion states that qunut prayer is not performed except qunut nazilah prayer, so it is allowed to read it during prayer. Scholars who consider this to be Imam Ahmad, al-Laits bin Sa’d, and Yahya bin Yahya Al-Laitsy.

This is because qunut is something new. As the following hadith sounds:

Al Saad bin Abi owner alashjy UK, said: shortage lobby or rewarding wab’athhu Tall Girls blessed Prophet Muhammad Bakr and Umar WABI vsman vly hahna balkvfh, nhva de fifth lollipops, “fkanva yqntvn no dawn?» فَقالَ: دأَي بُنَيَّ مُحْدَثٌ

Meaning:

From Abi Malik al-Asyja’ii Said bin Thariq said: “I asked my father:” O my father, you are praying behind the Messenger of Allah. and behind Abu Bakr, ‘Umar,’ Uthman and ‘Ali. here and in the Qur’an for 5 years, do they perform qunut at morning prayer? ”. So he replied: “O my son, this (qunut dawn) is something new” (HR. Ibn Majah)

What is meant by the new case here is to show an argument that qunut still exists but is rarely done (sometimes). Such as the occurrence of a war.

Third , the qunut reading is not done, or the law is broken (mansukh). Scholars who consider this to be the Imam Abu Hanifah, the Sufyan Ats-Tsauri, and the scholars from the Kufah.

It is based on a hadith of the Holy Prophet. who came from Abu Hurairah ra. which reads:

The Prophet Muhammad, nayaricompas while. Yfrgh de prayer Fajr de luck, vykbr vyrf ras·h: “Shema Allah seat hmdh, rabbanā whelk praise», then nayaricompas cxinvali established: «O mischief Alwaleed bin Alwaleed, vslmh ibn Hisham, vyash bin َبِي رَبِيعَةَ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

O ashdd vtatk Ali hazardous vajlha maghdube fastener Joseph, O aln Lihyan, vrla, vzkvan, vsyh st God vrsvlh », then blghna annahu la stop zlk bangs guidance of {equipped Lac de So things come ytvb maghdube Come yzbhm fanhm zalmvn} [Al-Imran: 128]

Meaning:

Once the Prophet saw. When he finished reading (a letter from the second rak’ah) in the Fajr prayer and then thoughtfully lifted his head (i’tidal) he said: “S ami’allahu liman hamidah rabbana except hamdu “, then he prayed in a standing position. “O Allah, save al-Walid bin al-Walid, Salamah bin Hisham, ‘Ayyasy son of Abi Rabi’ah and the weak of your people.

O Allah strengthen your footsteps on the Mudhar tribe and make them hungry for years like the famine that had occurred in the days of Joseph. O Allah, curse (the tribes) of Lihyan, Ri’lu, Dzakwan and ‘Ashiyah who act upon Allah and His Messenger.

Then it dawned on us that he had left such a thing to be revealed when a verse (that is to say) was sent out: “There is nothing of your intervention in their affairs or Allah accepts their repentance, or punishes them, for indeed they are wrongdoers.” (QS. Ali Imran (3): 128). (HR.Muslim)
