What is the meaning of ‘ Dhuha ‘ ???
As usual, before getting to know more about Duha prayer. The author wants to invite beforehand to get to know what is meant by the word ‘dhuha’. Although not explained at length, at least we know in advance about what is meant by the word ‘dhuha’.
In various Arabic dictionaries the word ‘ dhuha ‘ has several meanings, some mean ‘whatever happens when there is the sun’, some also interpret ‘sunlight which is the basis of the earth’, some are interpreting it only with sunlight alone .
Well , in the Big Indonesian Dictionary the meaning of the word ‘duha’ is associated with time, that is, ‘time before noon (at about 10:00)’. From all of these explanations the word duha can be concluded as a moment where the sun reveals its form, as a sign of the commencement of activities in the morning.
Understanding Dhuha Prayer
The dhuha prayer is a sunnah prayer performed by Muslims at a time when the sun is in the rising position, approximately seven hours from sunrise (around seven in the morning) to the time of dzuhur prayer. (depending on the geographical location in which we are located)
Implementation of this dhuha prayer, at least two rituals, can also be performed four, six or eight. As for performing it is the same as the sunnah prayers in general.
In the hadith explained, this dhuha prayer also has another reference to the prayer of awwaab or awwaabiin which is the prayer of the obedient or submissive. It is said to be the beginning of the prayer time described in terms of the rise of the camels due to the heat of the sun in the morning. Narrated by Zaid bin Arqam ra. the following:
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out to the people of Quba, while they were praying.
Meaning:
Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) went out to the Quba people and they were praying, and he said: ” Awwaabin (the same people who are returning to God) is the time when the camels are raised because of the heat of the day. (HR. Muslim)
Intention and How to Perform Dhuha Prayer
Talking about the intention of course for those who already know for sure this is an important thing when someone will do something. Similarly, in carrying out this Duha prayer. Pelafadzan intention to pray duha is as follows:
َصَلِّي سُنَّةَ الضُحَي رَكْعَتَين ِللهِ تَعَاليَ
“Usholli sunnatad dhuha rok’ataini lillahi ta’ala.”
Meaning:
“I intend to do the Sunnah Prayers two accounts for Allah Ta’alaa”
For the procedure of performing the Duha prayer is like an ordinary sunnah prayer with a minimum of two rak’ahs and one salutation. Whereas the maximum number can be four, eight or twelve accounts. That is, this way is no different from other sunnah prayers.
The following are the hadiths which describe the number of rekaat numbers in the duha prayer, both four rekaat or eight rekaat or the rest:
عَنأُمَ هِانِئٍ بِنْتِ بِي طَالِبٍ, «َنَ ُسُولَّ اللَّهِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ََََْ
Meaning:
From Ummi Hani ‘daughter of Abi Talib, the Messenger of Allah. on Yaum al-Fath (Day of Victory) performed eight dhuha prayers with greetings in each of his two ceremonies. (HR. Abu David)
عَن عَائِش, قالتَ: «كَنَ ر .سُولُ اللهِ صَلََّّى اللََهْ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الُّضُّحأَى ْرَبَعًا, وَيزِيدُ مَا شَاءَ Allah.
Meaning:
From ‘Aisha, she said: “The Messenger of Allah. Perform the four prayer prayers and add as much as Allah wills (as he pleases) (HR. Muslim)
Letters to Read During the Dhuha Prayer
While performing this dhuha prayer it is often emphasized for us to read the letters that have been made our choice. In the first draft, it is used to read the letter as-shams while the second one reads the ad-Dhuhaa letter.
In addition to the two letters above, there are other letters in the Qur’an that are also used to read after the next article, namely: al-Waqi’ah letter, al-Kafirun letter, al-Quraysh, as well as al-Ikhlas.
If we learn more, surely the letters above are closely related to the time, such as:

Prayer After Performing Prayer Dhuha
As for prayers after performing the Duha prayer it would be nice for us to accompany it with dhikr or any prayers. However, in this Dhuha prayer there is a special prayer that is used, namely the following prayer:
الَلََمَّ انِ الضُّحَآءَ ضُحَاءُكَ, وَالْبَهَاءَ بَهَاءُكَ, وَالْجَمَالَ جَمَالُكَ, وَالْقُوَّةَ قُوَّتُكَ, وَالْقُدْرَةَََُُُ.

It is good that you do not need to be a reader, that you do not want to be a reader, that you should not be deprived of your wealth, and that you are deprived of poverty, as you are entitled to wealth. , wa Bahá’í, wa community, wa quatatika, nemathati, we do not even have ‘shoulāas iasolioli ”” ””………………………………………………..
Meaning:
“O God, verily the duha time is thahuh time, and that majesty is your majesty, and that beauty is thy beauty, and that strength is thy strength, and that protection is thy protection.
O Allah, if my stock is still in the heavens, then lower it, if it is in the earth, then bring it out, if it is still difficult, then it is easy, if (it is) illegal, then sanctify it, if it is still far, then bring it, Thanks to the time Thy glory, glory, beauty, strength and power, bestow upon us all that Thou hast bestowed on Thy righteous servants. ”
Priority Performing Prayer Dhuha
Speaking of priorities, this prayer has a lot of priority. Many of the prophetic hadiths explain the importance of this dhuha prayer:
First , we give alms to every piece of bone we have in ourselves. As mentioned in a hadith, the number of sections in the human body is 360 degrees. It was reported from Abi Buraidah that he heard the Messenger of Allah. say:
«فِي الْإِنْسَانِ ثَلَاثُ مِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ, مَفْصِلًا فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْ كُلِّ مَفْصِلٍ مِنْهُ بُصَلَقَةٍ يَِ قال: «النُّخَاعَةُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ تَدْفِنُهَا, وَالشَّيْءُ تَنَحِّيهِ عَن الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنْ لَمْ
Meaning:
“In the human race there are 360 pieces of bone, each of which is required for charity”, they (the companions) say: “And who can do that, Nabiyyullah ?”. He also said: “Bury the mosquitoes in the mosque with dirt, and get rid of anything obstructing the middle of the road, even if it does not find it or does not have power, it is simply replaced with two dhat prayers.” (HR. Abu David)
Second , Duha prayer can also replace our recitation of dhikr, either tasbih, tahmid, takbir, and tahlil or govern to do good ( charity ma’ruf ) and make the prohibition of doing bad ( nahi munkar ) where we neglect to do it.
Narrated from Abu Dzar ra from the Holy Prophet. indeed he said:
«Ysbh Ali Salam de hdkm sdqh, FCL tsbyhh sdqh, vkl thmydh sdqh, vkl thlylh sdqh, vkl tkbyrh sdqh, oamra Promotion sdqh, vnhy evil sdqh, vyjzy de zlk rktan yrkhma de Adha»
Meaning:
“Emphasized in the morning (shubuh time) to give alms to each of your joints, every recitation of tasbih ( subhaanallah ) can be as alms, every recitation of tahmid ( alhamdulillaah ) can be alms, every recitation of tahlil ( laa ilaha illallaah ) can be as alms, every recitation of tahmid ( alhamdulillaah ) can be as alms, every recitation of tahlil ( laa ilaha illallaah ) can be as alms, and every reading takbir ( Allaahu akbar ) can also be as alms. Similarly, inviting obedience ( amar ma’ruf ) and forbidding from renege ( nahi mungkar ) is alms. And in exchange for all that can be fulfilled (replaced) by performing two raka’at prayer Dhuha “(HR. Muslim)
Thirdly , Allah Almighty will take care of it .. until the end of the day (afternoon). As in a hadith narrated by Nu’aim bin Hammaz al-Ghathafani:
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَّلَّمَ قَالَ: “قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: Abْn Adَm
Meaning:
From the Prophet Muhammad. It says: “Allah Ta’ala says:” O son of Adam, pray to Me four principles at the beginning of the day (at the time of the day), that I will provide for you (the need) until the evening ”
And there are many other virtues.
