How to play Quake II for free through the Bethesda launcher

After raising $ 20,000 in a charity fundraiser at QuakeCon, Bethesda is giving away Quake II (and Quake III next week) through its launcher on PC. We tell you how to get them (it is for a limited time).

Last week, Bethesda held its traditional QuakeCon in an online edition. Between several talks (and announcements such as the expansion of DOOM Eternal ), the company organized a solidarity campaign, raising funds for organizations such as UNICEF, Direct Reliefe and The Trevor Project.

Raising more than $ 20,000, Bethesda announced that it would offer  two games, Quake II and Quake III , free for a limited time through the Bethesda net Launcher.

Today, Wednesday, August 12, it’s the turn of Quake II, the classic shooter from 1997. Quake III will be given away next week, on August 17. Both games will be available for free for 72 hours, from the moment you log in … then they will be paid again .

However, if you search for it from the website , you will see that it is still paid (although with a discount that leaves it at 1.5 euros). To enjoy it for free, download the Bethesda Net Launcher (if you don’t have it yet) via this link . From it you can quickly access the games of sagas like DOOM, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls or RAGE.

You don’t have to do anything to claim the game, just look for it in the list of all games; it will be automatically unlocked. You know, it will only last 72 hours for free, so give it a good shot as soon as possible!
