Phrases with There is There are in English

If we want to say that something exists or does not exist somewhere or at some time, in the English language we often use the expression “there + be”, where “be” stands for the verb to be in English . The expressions ” There is ” and ” There are ” correspond to the Italian forms “c’e” and “ci sono” and are usually placed in a sentence before “a / an”, some and any. Furthermore, it should not be forgotten that in addition to the whole forms there are also contracted ones, and besides the affirmative form there are the negative and interrogative ones.
