Your Pals in Palworld can become weaker if you’re not careful, so you’ll need to learn how to keep them healthy, revive them if their health drops to zero, or keep their sanity up.
In Palworld, caring for your Pals is an important issue to keep in mind at all times. These creatures can suffer injuries, illnesses and even death , although this is not the end, luckily. Players can revive weakened Pals, but we can also keep them protected if we know how.
In this entry of our guide we are going to show you the basic and fundamental tips to keep your Pals in good health. Here you will discover how to keep their sanity high , how to prevent them from falling ill with status ailments and how to revive them if one of them dies in battle.
How to revive dead Pals?
If one of your team’s Pals takes too much damage in a battle, enough to lose all of their health, they will enter the “Out of Action” state . They will basically be dead and you will not be able to use them either at base or in your team. Reviving them is fairly easy, though .
- All you have to do is head over to a Pal Box and open it.
- Here you will have to select the deceased Pal of your team, whose icon will be red.
- Drag the dead Pal into a box storage .
When you place the Pal inside the box, you will see a 10-minute countdown appear above its icon . This is the amount of time you have to wait for the Pal to revive. After this time has passed, you can use it again.
This is the only way to revive a dead Pal, as there are no items, food, or medicine that can revive the Pal (at least in the early access phase of the game).
How to heal your Pals with medicine?
Of course, Pals can also be wounded in combat without dying. Just as we explained with reviving Pals, a wounded Pal who has lost health can be placed in a Pal Box to recover the health he has lost. However, if the Pal is happy and comfortable and has good sanity, he will gradually regain health over time without needing to be put in a box.
On the other hand, there are various adverse effects and altered states that Pals can contract, such as colds, sprains, ulcers, etc., to consider … These states can be treated with appropriate medicines and the way to get them is to build the Medieval Healer’s Table in your base , a construction that can be unlocked at level 12 of the Technology section and that requires the following resources for its manufacture:
- Wood x30
- Nails x5
- Paldium Fragment x10
At this table you can initially craft healing items such as medicines to cure the status ailments we mentioned, and you can even craft nectars to temporarily increase the work speed of the Pals at the base. When you want to give one of these items to your Pal, place the Pal in your party, open your inventory and select the item to give it to the desired Pal.
How to keep Pals’ sanity high?
In relation to the previous point, it is worth mentioning here the sanity levels of the Pals (represented in the game by the acronym “COR” ). Each Pal has a sanity that can be reduced if for example he is uncomfortable or is sick for a long time. If you aim at your Pal you can check what his sanity percentage is. If the sanity drops too low, the Pal may work more slowly or even stop working altogether.
- To keep sanity from declining, it is important to first create a bed for each Pal in the base and second make sure they do not go hungry .
To keep your Pals from getting hungry, build a Bait Box (recipe unlocks at Tech Level 4) and make sure to keep this box filled with food like berries, meat, and other foods. This way, your Pals will come to eat when they get hungry and stay happy.
You can also create a hot spring in your base, for example, so that Pals will go into the bath to relax and increase their sanity. The same goes for when they sleep at night. Just check the information on the right when you’re around the base to see if any Pals are having problems. They should all always say “Fully Healthy” to indicate that they have good health and high sanity.
