The basis of survival in Palworld comes down to building a base, catching Pals and crafting equipment. To do this, you need to unlock tools, structures and much more through the Technology tab. Let’s figure out how to get and spend technology points to progress faster.
Where to get technology points in Palworld
In Palworld, recipes are unlocked with tech points in the corresponding tab. The first line is already filled, allowing you to craft a Primitive Workbench, Stone Axe, Stone Pick, Torch, and Club.
This is enough to start collecting resources, but there are no tech points for the next line. Fortunately, they are easy to get. There are two ways to get tech points: activating the Great Eagle statues and leveling up.
Where to find the Great Eagle statues
The Great Eagle Statues are fast travel points scattered around the Palpagos Islands in key locations. The best way to find them is to run and climb everywhere. Or use the map below – the statues are marked with dark gray icons with a white eagle icon. Look around carefully for the orange glow of the statues. Once activated, they will turn blue. Each statue gives 1 technology point.
The faster you explore the world, the more statues you will find. A hang glider or mounted Palas will help speed things up. However, their recipes also require technology points, hence the next method is to gain Experience and level up.
How to level up fast in Palworld
Almost every action in Palworld gives you and your Palams Experience: picking up items, winning battles, crafting, and building at your base. Even completing the initial tasks will quickly level you up.
I found that the best way to level up quickly and get points is to catch Pals with spheres. Each catch gives XP, and after 10 successful attempts for one species, the XP bonus is activated. From the very beginning, you can focus on Lamballs, Cattiva and Cremis, which live near the starting point in the Windy Hills area.
How to spend tech points in Palworld
Now that you have tech points, you need to know where to invest them. Simply go to the menu and select the Tech tab. The bottom left corner displays the number of points. There is also a section for Ancient Tech Points, a special currency obtained by defeating Tower Syndicate bosses.
To spend points, select a recipe and confirm. The numbers above the portraits indicate how many points will be spent. It’s easy to open entire rows at first, but be selective.
You don’t want to spend all your points at once, as you need certain buildings to complete the tutorial and craft vital equipment. Here’s a list of important buildings and recipes to unlock:

- Old Bow and Arrows
- Straw Bed for Palov

- Fabric and Fabric Set of Clothes

Priority is given to unlocking Pal Equipment like Rushoar’s Saddle and Foxparks’ Harness to use their special abilities. Buildings like the Alarm Bell, Hanging Trap, and Furniture Sets can wait.
