Pacific Drive Resource Guide

While traveling through the zones of the post-apocalyptic world of Pacific Drive, you will have to collect resources and create new parts and equipment for your car and garage in order to find a way to get out of this anomalous trap. This guide contains information on absolutely all resources that you can find in the game.

Rubber, scrap metal, glass and more

Let’s start with the most common resources that you can find in almost any drawer, house, or trunk:

  • Rubber is one of the most basic materials that can be found not only in boxes, but also when dismantling tires on abandoned cars. It is indispensable for creating and improving the wheel parts of your vehicle, so do not neglect to search for and collect it.
  • Scrap metal is also easy to find; it can be extracted from various containers and wrecked cars. This resource is widely used in crafting and repairing .
  • The debris or glass that is commonly found in destruction sites can be recycled into more valuable materials, making them no less useful than rubber and scrap metal.
  • Batteries are an important resource that can be found not only in boxes, but also when dismantling electrical appliances in homes (such as televisions and radios). You can remove batteries and other parts from such devices using a recycler.
  • Electrical tape is commonly found in garages and homes and is essential for repairs and creating new items.
  • In addition, plastic will also be useful , which can be obtained by disassembling the same electrical devices. Plastic is used in many drawings.
  • The fabric is often found in clothing and upholstery and is used to create a variety of items.

Chemicals, cylinders, lead, electronics, copper, etc.

We’re done with the main resources, so let’s move on to the slightly rarer ones:

  • Chemicals are found primarily in the Bureau’s research trailers, inside locked iron lockers that require a crowbar or hammer to open. These chemicals can be used to craft upgrades and are key components in various blueprints.
  • Gas canisters can be found in iron lockers of the same trailers, as well as in regular boxes. They are necessary for creating explosives and other materials.
  • Lead Plate is obtained from Lead Panels found around Bureau equipment on the outside of trailers. These panels are scattered throughout the map, but are most commonly found in forests and along the side of roads. They can also be found in Bureau research trucks .
  • Electronics are an important resource that is best obtained by dismantling electrical devices. They are often found in small quantities, so it is worth paying attention to each device you find while exploring locations.
  • Copper wire is mined in a similar way to electronics.
  • As for plasma , it can be mined using a hammer from large plasma lamps that are located near the Bureau trailers or anomalies.

The rarest resources

It’s only logical that in the early stages of the game you can find mostly basic resources and only a small portion of rare ones. All but one of the following resources cannot be found in the Outer Zone and require special tools such as recyclers and impact hammers to obtain them:

  • Red balls are obtained from the “Balloon Ball” anomaly. To collect them, you will need a regular hand vacuum cleaner or its improved version. To stock up on this resource until the end of the game, it is enough to collect 100-120 balls. Sometimes, tools or trash pearls can fall out of the “Balloon Ball” anomaly .
  • LIM Magnet can be easily obtained in large quantities if you have enough iron. The exchange takes place in special installations that are often found in the wasteland.
  • Thermosap Crystals are one of the most common resources in the Intermediate Zone. They can be obtained by dismantling armored vehicle parts or by finding Thermosap Crystals that grow in certain places. Note that this resource is needed to create many useful items, including armored vehicle plating.
  • Coal sludge grows on small, bare trees and can also be an important resource that you’ll need throughout the game.
  • The following resources, swamp coral and swamp spawn , are found only in the Intermediate Zone, in the swamps. It is preferable to use a thermal vacuum to obtain them. Corals usually grow in groups in bodies of water and require light to appear, so a thermal vacuum with a built-in flashlight will be indispensable in this case. Swamp spawn is obtained from an anomaly called the Salamander Grotto.
  • Explosives and Olympium are the rarest resources in Pacific Drive . Explosives, although the rarest, are extremely useful for creating powerful modifications to your car. They can be found in specialized crates that have a unique model and are usually found in wastelands. As for Olympium, it is a resource that is mined from concrete columns covered in living biomass. It glows blue and purple, making it easy to recognize from afar. To mine Olympium, you will need a magnetic hammer.
  • Carbon Fiberglass and the LIM Chip are two key components that can be crafted in the Fabricator. Carbon Fiberglass is available after obtaining Unstable Anchor Energy and requires two units of Coal Liquid to craft. This material is indispensable for creating various upgrades and protecting your transport. The LIM Chip, in turn, can be obtained using Defective Anchor Energy. It requires six units of Olympium to craft. These chips play an important role in upgrading devices and improving functionality.
  • The Stable (Yellow) Anchor can be found in the Outer Zone, the starting region, making it an easy picking for all players.
  • Unstable (red) anchor is found in swamps and in the Intermediate Zone, in the central part of the map. This resource is more difficult to obtain, but its crafting capabilities are also significantly higher.
  • The Defective (purple) Anchor can be found in the Inner Zone, where you will also mine Olympium. This area is full of dangers, but generous with rare resources that are necessary for crafting the most advanced parts and equipment.
