Outriders – How To Farm Ugake Otarah’s Hood – Instant Reload Mod

It’s been a few weeks since the release of Outriders, and players are finally starting to get to the end of the game. Unlike other Looter-shooter titles, the ending of Outriders is really difficult. Expeditions are not a joke. Things start to get pretty tough from Challenge Tier 8 or CT8. So you need to make sure your build is on point.

This guide will show you the best way to farm Ugake Otarah’s hood in Outriders.

Outriders – How To Farm Ugake Otarah’s Hood – Instant Reload Mod

What is the Ugake Otarah hood?

The Ugake Otarah hood is a legendary helmet or headdress in Outriders. This legendary helmet is only available to the Trickster class, and it is definitely one of the best Legedaries in the game.

So what is special about this harness? Well, in addition to being a really sick looking piece of armor, Ugake Otarah’s hood comes with an instant reload called Instant Reload.

Instant Reload is a Tier 3 mod made exclusively for the Hunt for Prey skill in Trickters. This is what Instant Reload does:

INSTANT RECHARGE
Hunt the Prey: Teleporting instantly reloads the magazine of your current weapon.

This mod is nothing short of a boon for players who are stuck with the Perpetuum Mobile mod. Perpetuum Mobile is an ammo regeneration mod that is applied to weapons. And trust me, there is nothing worse than having to replace a damage mod with an ammo mod on your weapons. My own progress has suffered greatly due to this very reason.

With the Ugake Otarah hood, you can teleport to any enemy and you will replenish your entire magazine. This is hands down one of the best armor pieces you can get to complement the Twisted Rounds build on your Trickster. Trust me, he could cut off an entire expedition without having to reload his weapons once.

Here’s a compilation from YouTuber Moxsy that I’m currently using on my Trickster. And honestly, it’s one of the best versions for the Trickster class out there:

How to grow Ugake Otarah’s hood

Unlike Borderlands, the Legendary Outriders do not have dedicated drop-off locations. So you have no choice but to rely entirely on RNG. Still, I think there is a method that has a comparatively higher chance of giving you this legendary helmet than any other method in the game.

  • I’m talking about doing the “hunting races”. This is how you do it:
  • Set your world level at level 1
  • Complete the first 9 Hunter missions (missions marked with a paw icon) in WT1
  • Set your world level to the highest level available to you
  • Collect the last hunting mission and complete it.
  • Talk to Noah in Trench Town and give him all the trophies.
  • Restart his mission and get guaranteed legendary armor
  • Keep repeating until you get what you need

I have done 7 races so far. And let me tell you, if you’re looking specifically for a piece of armor, this method is way better than doing the low-level Expeditions. At least you’re guaranteed to get something in this case. Each successful run takes about 35 minutes. I am using an M.2 SSD so I guess that helps in my case. If you are using a normal hard drive, the whole process may take a little longer. But it’s still worth it.
