Nude Beach Eyeshadow Palette – The Balm: Is It Good?

Everyone who likes makeup needs to have those items considered “wild cards” in their necessaries, right? Basically, they are the ones that can help you create different looks for different situations.

I had been looking for some time for a palette of eyeshadows that I could carry with me and that would be used both for everyday makeup and for a party night.

My intention was to find a case of shadows that offered me neutral colors, with light, dark, matte and satin (shiny) tones in one set. And when I saw The Balm’s Nude Beach Volume 3 Palette, I found exactly what I was looking for!

Generally, I use only foundation, compact powder, mascara and blush on a daily basis. But when I want to be a little more produced, this palette from The Balm helps me a lot to create a super natural make up. At the same time, I have used the darker colors several times to go out at night.

Of course, after testing this super versatile product, I couldn’t help but tell you about my experience, right? If you are looking for a wild eye shadow palette and want to know what I thought of Nude Beach, just keep reading this review!

Which is?

According to the brand:

“The Balm Nude Beach eyeshadow palette is an amazing, warmer color palette formed by 12 beautiful shadows with long lasting micronized pigments to paint your eyes in the best nude tones.

The colors, with a satin and matte finish, can be applied not only for a natural look of everyday life but also for a more elaborate look for the night, mixing the color options in layers. ”

They follow the packaging pattern of The Balm, with a retro and humorous footprint that I love. Nude Beach packaging comes in an envelope, has a magnet closure and is cardboard. In addition, it has an internal mirror and comes with a beveled brush.

I didn’t use the other two, just Nude Beach, but I got to look at them closely and I can say that the color options are very similar. All count even count 12 tones.

At Nude Beach, most shades are warm, which sets it apart from the other two palette versions (it follows the name proposal, which has to do with beach and summer). There are six colors with shine and another six matte colors. Well divided, right? Look at the tone chart:

Colors

” alt=”” aria-hidden=”true” />
  1. Brillant: it is a beige that serves as a base for other shades. It doesn’t have that much pigmentation;
  2. Babe: it is a satin tone and with a peach reflection that looks beautiful, even as an illuminator! This is one of my favorites;
  3. Buff: another from the bright colors team. This is a rose that looks great to brighten up the day’s make-up;
  4. Bright: the second matte color in the list. It is a very cool rosé to build layers;
  5. Brainiac: it is a very beautiful and alive satin rose!
  6. Brave: dark and bright plum purple, great for creating an evening look;
  7. Built: golden and with metallic finish;
  8. Bold: every wildcard palette needs at least a shade of brown, right? Bold is a warm, matte brown;
  9. Bodalicious: another brown, but this one with a reddish background and super alive;
  10. Breathtaking: copper with metallic finish;
  11. Bootylicious: copper with a satin finish and full of shine!
  12. Brazen: a very dark and matte brown that clashes a little with the other warm tones.

Price and where to buy

The Nude Beach palette has a higher value – like most of the brand’s products – so if you are looking to spend a little less, this may not be the best alternative.

However, as it is a super versatile product that can be used on several occasions, I think it is worth the investment. The average price of the palette is approximately R $ 200 * and you can find it at Consulta Remédios !

My impressions

I have few punctual reviews of the product. Overall, I really enjoyed it! To better explain my impressions about the Nude Beach palette, I listed some important points and gave a note to each one. The grades range from 0 to 5, with 0 being very bad and 5 being very good. Look that:

Fixation and durability

Rest assured: your look will last all day or all night. The shadows have a great fixation, however, it is always recommended to use them with primer for the eyes.

I used it at work and my eyes stayed the same all day (and look, I have very oily eyelid skin!).

Pigmentation

Do not be fooled by the test done by hand before buying the palette: in the eyes, the colors do not disappoint! Some lighter colors do not have exceptional pigmentation (such as Bright , for example), but they are exceptions.

Most shades are well pigmented, so you won’t have to suffer to get some color out of the brush. A highlight for Bodalicious and Brazen in this regard!

A nice thing about the palette is that it is super simple to blend and create layers. It is easy to make overlays and transition from one color to another.

Cost benefit

I think the value is a bit salty. Even so, as I have used in several situations, it was worth the purchase! It is a palette that I know I will use until I can’t take it anymore and that won’t stay in the drawer.

In addition, The Balm products have excellent quality and, consequently, a higher price range.

Variety of colors

The combination of trendy colors (which are on the rise) with classic ones that never go out of fashion make Nude Beach a great option to carry around.

Even two colors in particular I also use for purposes other than coloring the eyes. The Babe can serve as illuminator, while the Brazen is an option to fill in the brows of those who have dark hair. I think I defended my point well, don’t I?

Packing

I love The Balm packaging and this was no different. I carry my palette a lot in my purse to get ready elsewhere, and since I bought it, I’ve never had a problem. The shadows remain intact!

Also, I love the fact that it comes with a mirror included. The magnet closure also makes our life much easier when we seek practicality, because it is easy to open and close. The only thing I find dispensable on the packaging is the brush.

Application: crumbling?

There are few colors that have this characteristic in Nude Beach. The Brave and Brazen can crumble a little, but nothing to panic. In general, they are very soft and easy to work with.

My tip is: if you are going to use the darker colors, do the eyes first (before the skin). If you are going to compose a look with the lightest colors, you can make the skin first without fear!

Is The Balm Nude Beach eyeshadow palette good?

Yes! I was happy with the purchase and use the product a lot. I think there is no better sign that your money was well spent than when you use a lot of cosmetics, right? For me, Nude Beach fulfills its objective: versatility and quality.

The best part is that I have had the palette for a few months and I am sure that I will still enjoy the product for a long time. If you want to invest in a eyeshadow palette but don’t know where to start, Nude Beach may be right for you!
