The passage of the sci-fi detective Nobody Wants to Die can end in four different endings. Despite the fact that the game informs you several times that this or that choice will affect the plot in the future, the ending depends on the few decisions you make at four key moments throughout the game. We continue the guide dedicated to all the endings of the neo-noir adventure Nobody Wants to Die on the gaming portal StopGame.Ru.
Elections that affect the ending
Let’s start by listing the key points we are talking about.
Bar “Icarus”
At the very end of the chapter, you are offered to shoot the descendant of Arthur Boyle, the creator of ichorite, in the head. He will still be revived, but due to the shot brain, the adaptation process will be painful and long. Perhaps this condition is optional.
Red room
During your second visit to Green’s Tower, you find yourself in the Red Room, where the city’s elite lived out their perverted fantasies. They are all dead, but if they are discovered, they will be revived by transferring the ichorite into new bodies. So you are offered a decision – to close the bunker door, which will make it more likely that the corpses will not be found anytime soon, or to leave it open. Perhaps this is another optional condition.
Conversation with Sarah
And this is most likely the most important condition for reaching one or another ending . During the conversation with Sarah in the Old Museum, you must decide who to blame for the crime – the killer or Green.
Jane Salma
Finally, right at the end of the game, you will be able to shoot Jane Salma (who is in Sarah’s body) or abandon this idea. And the choice will be regardless of which branch you go – good or bad ending. Each of these branches has two additional endings, which depend on whether you shoot Jane Salma or refuse it. So, in endings № 1-2, Salma will shoot James Carra, after which you will have a choice – to shoot her (which will damage Sarah’s body) or not. In endings № 3-4, you will talk to Jane Salma standing up, and you will have to decide – to shoot the girl or not. Ending #1
Ending #1 isn’t too bad, but it’s not exactly a good ending either. Sarah will be upset that you ruined her body, but at least the killer didn’t get away. James ends up in a jar of ichorite. To get this ending, you must make the following choices:
-
Refuse to shoot the Boyle descendant in the head at the Icarus Bar.
-
Leave the Red Room Bunker door open during your second visit to Green’s Tower.
-
When talking to Sarah, refer to the fact that the killer is to blame.
-
Be sure to shoot the killer (Jane Salme) in the back.
Ending #2
The ending is basically identical to the previous ending, but this time you don’t have to shoot Jane Salma instead. Let her go. James ends up in a jar of ichorite, but Sarah has the opportunity to get her body back. Do the following:
-
Refuse to shoot the Boyle descendant in the head at the Icarus Bar.
-
Leave the Red Room Bunker door open during your second visit to Green’s Tower.
-
When talking to Sarah, refer to the fact that the killer is to blame.
-
Don’t shoot a killer in the back (Jane Salme).

Ending #3
I think this is the worst ending of all possible, because in it you kill Jane Salma. Sarah loses any chance of getting her body back (although there are still some in endings #1-2). Make the following choice:
-
Shoot the Boyle descendant in the head in the Icarus Bar.
-
Close the bunker door (red room) during the second visit to Green’s Tower.
-
During the conversation with Sarah in the Old Museum, say that Green himself is to blame for everything.
-
Shoot the killer (Salma Jain) at the end of the game.
Ending #4
This is probably the best ending of all. James Carra realizes that he suffers from cyberpsychosis (I’ll call it that), which has caused him to go crazy and hear other voices. Greene, who shot people in the red room and then committed suicide, had a similar condition. There is no mysterious killer here. Moreover, in the final scene, Jane Salma will be credited not as “the killer”, but as “the stranger” (when the male voice speaks). In addition, Sarah gets her body back, and James Carra finally dies and “meets” his wife Rachel on a sunny tropical island. Fulfill the following conditions:
-
Shoot the Boyle descendant in the head in the Icarus Bar.
-
Close the bunker door (red room) during the second visit to Green’s Tower.
-
During the conversation with Sarah in the Old Museum, say that Green himself is to blame for everything.
-
At the end of the game, don’t shoot Sarah, but throw away the gun instead.
