One of the most important currencies in MultiVersus is Prestige Points. Don’t know how they work? Here’s how you can get and use them.
Following the final release of MultiVersus , Warner’s fighting game has changed somewhat from the content it offered during its open beta period. One of the most notable new features in this regard is the so-called prestige points , a new type of currency (apart from fighter and upgrade coins ) that is represented by a golden symbol and a “P” in its center and that is likely to generate doubts among the gaming community. In this entry of our guide we are going to explain how it works , from how you can get this kind of points to how to use them correctly.
How to get prestige points?
Prestige points in MultiVersus are a currency that can be obtained by basically accumulating items and cosmetics in your account. That is to say, the way to obtain these points is by unlocking character variants ( skins ), as well as gestures, stickers, banners… In short: everything that is a cosmetic counts .
- Each cosmetic item you acquire in MultiVersus will give you a certain amount of prestige points.
- The prestige points you get from each cosmetic vary depending on its type and rarity .
- For example , the prestige points you get when unlocking a legendary variant of a character are not the same as those you get when unlocking a rare sticker.
Cosmetic rarities in MultiVersus can be up to 5 different tiers, ranging from the lowest, Common, to Uncommon, Unusual, Epic, and Legendary, the latter being the highest rarity level.
Obviously, the higher the rarity of an item, the more prestige points you will earn for it.
Ultimately, if you want to earn a lot of prestige points, you’ll need to unlock a lot of cosmetic content on your account over the long term, either by purchasing it in the in-game store with Gleamium or by obtaining it from battle pass rewards and/or temporary events that the developers announce.
What are prestige points for?
Now you know how to get prestige points in MultiVersus, but what are they good for? These points are actually meant to be spent in a special section of the in-game Store. This is the Prestige section , where you’ll find a number of special and unique cosmetics.
Prestige cosmetics, which can be character variants, icons, stickers, voices, etc., are exclusive to that section of the store and therefore cannot be obtained in any other way than investing the prestige points you have earned in them.
So, you already know what prestige points are for. Don’t be afraid to spend them on the cosmetics of this type that you like the most, because they have no other purpose than that.
