Are you proud of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone weapon skins? Do you want to take a closer look? If so, good news: you can now inspect your gun in Call of Duty. The weapon inspection feature was added in the recent Season 5 update, and using it couldn’t be easier. Here’s how it works.
How to inspect your gun in Modern Warfare & Warzone
To inspect your gun, simply hold left on the D-Pad. Works with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players can inspect their weapons by pressing and holding the I button.
After pressing and holding the weapon inspection button, your character will move the gun around the screen, giving you a good look. Slick. Not even for guns: you can also inspect the skins of the knives.
There is only one problem: you have to stand still to inspect your weapon. It won’t work if you run, shoot, jump, or otherwise move. Then again, if you move, you still wouldn’t be able to take a good look at your weapon. It’s also a bad idea to inspect your weapon during a firefight, but hey, we’re not going to judge.
It might sound kind of silly, but it’s not. After all, Call of Duty players love their weapons very much. This is especially true for players with rare weapons, expensive skins, or even one of the new Season 5 weapons. Additionally, it’s a feature that has been available in many other competitive games, including previous versions of Call of Duty, as well as Valorant and Counterattack * -Strike: Global Offensive.
So rejoice, gun collectors. It may take months to get introduced, but you’re finally able to inspect your gun anytime you want. Now you can show off on your stream, take better weapon screenshots, or just soak up the beauty of your current load.
