Magic: Legends Beta Releases: All Time, Platform, and Content

The beta version of the new free ARPG Magic: Legends begins. Here at DLPrivateServer you can find all the information about the launch, the schedules and the content of the beta.

When does the beta start? The beta version will begin today, March 23, 2021. The servers should be available at 6:00 pm and interested players can participate.

Since it is an open beta version, anyone can enter and participate. All content will transfer to the finished game as soon as it appears. There will be no erasure.

Where can I play the beta? At the moment, the developers only offer beta testing on PC. There are two launchers available for this:

  • bow thrower
  • the Epic Games Store

Depending on the launcher you are playing in, you will receive different rewards. In Arc there is the Gaven Guardian costume, the bat looks for the ogre mortar and two loot and mission boosters. Epic players will receive a free Moorland Ranger costume, Moorland Ranger creature skin, and two loot upgrades until April 6 at 6:00 PM CET.

With a new cinematic trailer, the developers whet an appetite for their new ARPG. We have included the trailer for you here:

This is how you participate in the beta

If you have created an account with one of the two providers above and installed the respective launcher, you can download the beta version of Magic: Legends through the games tab.

Then start the game and install possible patches. Since the game is developed with your feedback, updates and new content can always appear. You can also register on the official Magic: Legends website.

We were able to play Magic: Legends before the beta and get our first impressions. For more information, read our test report on the first steps in the new ARPG:

I thought Magic: Legends is like Diablo, I was completely wrong

Beta version content: what does it contain?

You can play these classes: Magic: Legends starts with five classes, all of which you will be able to play in the beta. The five classes are:

  • Geomancer – Use the power of the earth to attack opponents with stone and lava attacks and protect yourself with a stone shield for medium to short distances.
  • Mind Mage – Fight from a distance, using your powers to control enemies and fire magic projectiles
  • Beastcaller – Defeat enemies at close range with a ghost ax and summon wild animals to fight alongside you
  • Priest of Consecration: He is a medium close-range holy fighter who can heal or prevent damage to his allies; often summons angels and similar beings on their decks
  • Necromancer – Sacrifice the life energy of enemies and allies to strengthen your undead creatures and fight at medium range.

However, the classes themselves are only part of your play style. In the beta you can find more than 175 different cards (spells) and more than 170 pieces of equipment with which you can build your construction.

From the cards, you build decks that represent your real “class” and determine how you fight. Four cards out of twelve possible in a deck can be played and are returned to the deck after use, only to be drawn again at random.

Up to two out of five different “colors” are built into the decks, which determines what type of game the deck offers. The boss, Adam Hetenyi, personally explained to us beforehand how decks work in Magic: Legends and how you use them.

What can I find out? Magic: Legends offers a story where you will meet many well-known Magic Lore characters. However, the manufacturers have yet to reveal what exactly it will be.

The game offers different missions, each with its own story, which are loosely related and can be repeated over and over again on different difficulties. You visit six different areas on the plains of the world in the game and in the beta:

  • Shiv: a volcanic island in Dominaria
  • Benalia: a church in Dominaria
  • Tazeem: the jungle continent in Zendikar
  • Tolaria: a tropical academy in Dominaria
  • Gaven: a province of Innistrad
  • The realm of meditation: your own sanctuary, where you can create new cards or change your appearance.

You can play ARPG alone or cooperatively with up to three players in a group. There are also great outdoor areas in the open world where you will meet other players who are out there as well.

Another class in the trailer? We suspect that

In the beta game trailer, you can see a short excerpt from another class that was not yet playable (via YouTube, about 20 seconds) He wears dark armor and two daggers, which does not match any other character so far.

I myself play the pencil and paper “Ravnica”, which is based on the world of Magic, and I play a follower of the demon Rakdos, who is also the leader of one of the guilds there. The new class remembers this same character.

In Ravnica, my character is a hybrid of villain and bard, although the class in Magic: Legends seems to be more inspired by villains. But I can’t say exactly what the new class will be either.

Magic: Legends: all about the game’s launch

When will Magic: Legends be released? As of yet, there is no exact release date for Magic: Legends. However, it should appear “later this year”, that is, in 2021. We will notify you when there is a specific date.

What platforms does it appear on? At the moment, the beta version is only available for PC, but the finished game will also be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Magic: Legends can also be played on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles | S through backward compatibility.

If you are in the mood for more Action-RPG and Hack’n’Slays, you can also play the new Dungeons & Dragons from June 22, which we already presented to you in a preliminary test: we have the new ARPG Dark Alliance played – It seems perfect for a nice cooperative evening.
