Now it’s the turn of an equally advanced mouse – the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless. This is a lightweight model of the popular Logitech G Pro esports mouse, which is technically not inferior to its predecessor, but weighs so little that it might seem like there is nothing in your hand.

Design
The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless is sold in two colors – black and white. The second version came to our editorial office, and it looks like a stormtrooper from Star Wars – white plastic with black accents. This combination creates a very striking contrast with most of the gaming peripherals – usually either black or a darker shade of another color. But if you get bored with the color, the set includes black stickers on the sides and main keys.
This version of the mouse inherits its ergonomics from the Logitech G Pro Wireless. Just as sports cars have lightweight Superleggera versions, in the case of the G Pro X Superlight Wireless, the developers threw everything out of the original mouse that can be discarded – additional buttons on the right, RGB lighting and a sensor resolution switch. There is even a bump in place of the additional keys, which makes it easier to hold the mouse with the whole palm.
At the bottom there is a magnetic compartment with a replaceable cover – plain or Teflon coated. The latter could, in theory, increase stability, but the lid opens by pushing it like a swing, so this can cause more problems. Both lids are included, so you can always try and use the option you like. A compartment for a USB stick is hidden inside, which is convenient if you often take the device with you. The keychain itself is so tiny that at first glance you start to fear losing it. But if you play on a laptop, then such a keychain will hardly stick out of the side connector and spoil the appearance.
Is saving 17 g of lost functionality worth it? The answer is the same as for potential buyers of Superleggera cars: if maximum performance is more important to you than heated seats and radio, then yes. Although in the case of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless, thanks to the software, the losses are not as significant as it might seem, but we will talk about this in more detail below.
Performance
Like its big sister, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless is one of the best gaming mice out there right now. The design and size of the mouse is suitable for right-handers and left-handers with a brush of any size. Since there is no cable, there is no extra resistance, while Logitech was able to achieve very low latency and strong signal. Finally, thanks to the reduced weight and the absence of RGB backlighting, the battery life has even increased – the manufacturer claims 70 hours instead of 60. We did not take measurements on purpose, but we can confirm that the mouse works for a very long time.
As we wrote in our review for the Logitech G915 TKL keyboard, Logitech has developed its own Lightspeed radio protocol. It allows gaming devices to maintain a reliable and fast wireless connection that even the latest versions of the wide-profile Bluetooth standard are not capable of. The RTings website measured the response time to clicks on the wire at 8ms , and with a USB stick using Lightspeed technology, it was only 9ms. With or without wire, these are great results.
You can’t find fault with the quality of the mouse. The left and right buttons require equal pressure across the entire area, the wheel is lightweight, the side keys are close enough so that the thumb can move between them almost instantly, and the Teflon feet allow the mouse to slide on almost any surface. The sensor is optical, and the manufacturer claims that it will not work on glass. We tried it – it works on both glass and transparent plastic. We will not recommend such surfaces: no one has canceled optical distortions yet, so there will be errors in reading, but you can use it for work as a last resort.
In the software, you can set the polling frequency to 1000 Hz, i.e. the computer will ask for the position of the mouse every millisecond. Gaming monitors still have a long way to go to 1000Hz refresh rates when motion blur disappears visually and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless is ready for that bright future. For most games, of course, this is overkill, but in shooters and eSports games, every millisecond can mean victory or defeat.
The biggest problem with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless is the lack of a physical DPI switch button on the sensor. Some people prefer to switch the sensor resolution for screens with different resolutions and sizes or in different gaming situations – on this mouse this can only be done by reassigning one of the side keys.
Software
Logitech’s G Hub utility lets you fine-tune the G Pro X Superlight. In addition to the obvious DPI settings, you can reduce the polling rate in it (we do not know why, maybe to reduce the load on the processor, but there is such an opportunity), configure the sleep mode timer and write and pin a macro or switch the layout to any button. The functionality is not very large, but everything you need is there.
The Logitech G Pro is considered by many professional gamers to be the best gaming mouse available today. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless retains all the specifications, but at the same time it is noticeably lighter – almost weightless. An excellent sensor with such a high maximum resolution that it is unlikely that even esports players will overclock this mouse to its fullest. Simple and versatile design with nothing superfluous. Reliable and speed-comparable wireless connection. Convenient software that allows you to configure each key for hundreds of different commands. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless is the undisputed champion of gaming mice.
