About the character

Lingyang is a talented and friendly member of the lion dance troupe. He has lion-like features in his appearance: ears and a tail, which make it easy to read his emotions. He fell on the heads of other dancers, and they took in the strange young man, who at that time did not really know the human language. But over time, Lingyang fit into the troupe and became a valuable member. 

In close combat, the lion cub uses the ice (Glacio) element. He adds elements of the lion dance, uses platforms and parts of the suit.

How to get

Lingyan is a standard character in Wuthering Waves. He can be obtained from the newbie banner, legendary summons of your choice, or dropped instead of an event hero.

In addition, there is no time limit for receiving it, so even if you did not receive the furry boy at the start of the game, do not be upset, you can always get it from the standard banner. However, you will have to wait.

• 50–70% Glacio damage;
• 60-70% critical hit chance;
• 200-250% critical damage;
• 15,000 HP;

Energy recovery, as with other DD characters, can vary between 110-120%. But if there are problems with damage and ult gain, then you can overclock it to 140%.

Unification of Spirits	Forte Circuit / Resonance Scale / Energy	Lion’s Spirit : LingYang can accumulate up to 100 Lion’s Spirit. It is restored by using E, Furious Punches, Intro Attack, and Ultimate. Glorious Plunge : When the gauge is full, the Heavy Attack turns into Glorious Plunge. Tail Strike : If the gauge is not full, use a basic attack after a heavy attack to perform a Tail Strike. Striding Lion : After Glorious Plunge or a normal attack activated after an E or an Ultimate with a full gauge, the character enters the Striding Lion stance. During the stance, Lingyan performs attacks in the air, creating a pedestal below himself. The Ultimate prolongs the stance. While Striding Lion is active, normal attacks are replaced with Feral Gyrate and the E-key is transformed into Mountain Roamer , which allows air movement. When Lion’s Spirit gauge reaches 10, his basic attack will launch Stormy Kicks and his aerial attack will launch Radiant Punge .

Priority of pumping

As we can see, the basis of the battle for Lingyan is Forte Circuit. This is the button we pump first in the skill tree. After it, attention should be paid to E and basic attack. They are equally important, so distribute resources evenly.

The ult is not so important, but it can do good damage, so it can also be pumped up a couple of points. But last of all, we pump up the Intro and Outro buttons, because you will not use them that often. Our lion cub wants to perform the whole dance, so he will be on the field without switching for quite a long time.

Weapons for Lingyan

Which Echo to install?

Freezing Frost

The best option for our frostbitten lion cub is the full Freezing Frost set. Two pieces of the set increase Glacio’s damage by 10%. Five pieces after a normal or heavy attack give another 10% bonus, while it can stack up to 3 times and lasts 15 seconds.

We put the Lampylumen Myriad boss on the main Echo slot . He hits the ice element three times over the area and freezes enemies. And each hit with an attack gives a bonus to E and Glacio in the amount of 4% (a total of 12% gain). The main thing to remember is that you need to use Echo before you activate Forte Circuit, so you will get all the bonuses from both the set and the boss.

Lingering Tunes

This option also works well on Lingyan. A lot of attack power is useful for damage dealers, especially if you don’t need to fulfill special conditions to get it. Two pieces of Lingering Tunes give 10% attack power, and 5 pieces increase this stat by 5% every 1.5 seconds. The effect stacks up to 4 times and increases Outro damage by 60%.

In this case, we take the Mech Abomination boss in the first slot. After summoning, Echo will give another 12% attack for 15 seconds.

2+2 combo

Well, the third option is a combo of two sets, which we talked about above: Freezing Frost and Mech Abomination . This way we will get 10% of Glacio damage and attack power. And it is better to put Echo Lampylumen Myriad on the first slot.

Commands for Lingyang

The best option for our lion cub is a squad where he acts as a hypercarry. In the first option, we take Sanhua, since she buffs basic attacks, and a healer.

The team includes:

• Sanhua;
• Verina/Baizhi.

The second option of the team can be assembled if you have Jianxin. The thing is that she can replace the healer slot, apply shields, and also pull enemies to one point to maximize damage.
