Iratus: Lord of the Dead – guide to minions

How to get all minions / creatures in the Iratus: Lord of the Dead roguelike; description of all hidden abilities of each creature

The protagonist of Iratus: Lord of the Dead is the fallen lord Iratus, who wants to destroy the mortal world. At his (and, accordingly, your) disposal – various undead, which he summons, spending body parts collected in battles. There are a total of 19 different minions, but only six of them are available from the start of the game. To access 12, you will have to fulfill different conditions. And one more is available only to Supporter Pack owners. Below I talk about all the unique abilities of the minions and the conditions for their unlocking.

Who are minions?

Minions are various types of undead that make up the Iratus army. Each creature has its own unique combat abilities. But besides battles, they can be used for other purposes: for example, to unlock and improve various buildings in the graveyard.

New creatures are created through a special tab that can be opened by clicking on the cabinet in the far right corner of the Iratus room, or by pressing the P key. Each minion needs 4 body parts. You can chase minions to free up slots (of which there are not so many), but no one will return the parts spent on their creation or the items that were equipped on them.

Minions have several characteristics that determine their effectiveness: attack, fear, accuracy, dodge, luck, armor, resistance, block, guardianship, and initiative. Minions level up in several ways: winning battles, training in the arena (graveyard) while you fight other minions, interacting with steles on the map, or getting a higher level brain. You can pump the level of minions almost indefinitely.

Creatures can do two types of damage: toughness and stress. The first type combines both physical and magical damage. Also, each minion has 6 abilities, with one of them being the ultimate and activated by anger. Some characters, such as the Lich and the Fallen Dhampir, have two ults. Each ability can be activated depending on the position of the minion. After increasing the level, you can choose one of two improvements for each ability, as well as increase the characteristics. Improvements for the ultimate become available only after pumping a minion to level 5.

Each creature can be equipped with 2 pieces of equipment, which will give different benefits (note that you cannot use two identical items). Items are unique to different creatures.

A vampire

  • How to get: You need to recruit three vampires. This can be done with the Blood Curse spell. Use it on the enemy and let him escape. Each such action will lead to the appearance of a vampire in the army.
  • Providence. Debuff from the first two positions to any enemy. Attacks on the targeted target will ignore the block and ward until the end of the battle. The vampire loses 10 stamina. The attack itself ignores the block and the amulet.
  • Ulta “Bloodlust”. From any position, buff. Until the end of the fight, the Vampire regains Resilience equal to 50% of the damage dealt. Doesn’t consume action!

Ghoul

  • How to get it: Deal 3500 HP of damage to your minions. This can be done using spells or abilities of the minions. This process can be significantly accelerated by using the Bone Golem. Create a squad of four Bone Golems, then save. Have three golems use the Self-Destruct ability. Reset this battle (reboot) and repeat until the Wild Hunger achievement appears. Alternatively, if the Bone Golem is not yet available, create two Lichs and use their Sacrifice ability on two Mummies. Then, to create a save with a Ghoul already unlocked, make sure to escape or win the fight. Otherwise, progress will not be saved.
  • Digest. Support. Digests an eaten enemy, restoring stamina fully. Removes the effect of some buffs, does not spend actions.
  • Ulta “Lunch break”. Buff from any position on any target. Destroys an enemy with a reserve of stamina below 30%, gets +20 to stamina, +8 to Attack, Terror, Luck and Evasion until the end of the battle. Ignores block, does not work on bosses and inedible enemies. Enemies killed in this way will not leave pieces of the body.

Bone golem

  • How to obtain: Collect 70 bones. In this case, the bones that are created on the “Alchemy” tab are not taken into account!
  • Self-destruction. Physical attack from the third or fourth position on the two nearest enemy positions. Deals 100% damage to targets from the Golem’s missing toughness. The golem will not miss, but will die after using the attack.
  • Ulta “March of the Shards”. Physical attack from 3-4 positions on all enemy targets. Deals 60% damage and has a 25% chance to stun the enemy for 1 turn. The golem loses 25 stamina.

Bloody phantom

  • How to get: spend 750 units of Wrath to activate the ult of different minions. Everything is very clear.

Fallen dhampir

  • How to get: You can unlock this character after you get 3 dampers. They are found only on the third floor, in the mercenary barracks. To recruit a dhampir, you need to drive him crazy. Then kill all other enemies, leaving only the insane dhampir alive. Please note that on the “More Pain” or “Good Always Wins” difficulty level, there is a chance that the dampier will receive the “Inspiration” buff, which will make him impossible to recruit. If this happens, it is best to restart the battle and repeat the actions until the enemy is mad.
