Importance of Natural Science In Education.The essence of science learning is a preparation for the future, in this case the future of the child’s life is determined by the parents. Therefore, the school prepares them for life in the society to come. Learning is a process of conveying knowledge, which is carried out by pouring knowledge to students (Oemar Hamalik, 2008: 25).

When learning is seen as a process, learning is a series of teacher efforts or activities in order to make students learn. The process starts from planning the annual teaching program, semester and preparation of teaching preparation (lesson plan) along with the preparation of the tools, including props and evaluation tools (Hisyam Zaini, 2004: 4).

Based on some of the opinions above, it is concluded that learning is a process and a series of efforts or teacher activities in order to make students learn, learning is also preparation in the future and schools prepare them to live in the community to come. Natural Science is a subject in elementary school which is intended for students to have organized knowledge, ideas and concepts about the natural surroundings, which are obtained from experience through a series of scientific processes including investigation, compilation and presentation of ideas about the nature of science learning.

Science is special knowledge, namely by making observations, experimentation, inferences, theory formulation and so on, the link between one way and another (Abdullah, 1998: 18). Science is related to how to find out about nature systematically, so that Science is not only mastery of systematic collections and Science is not only mastery of a collection of knowledge in the form of facts, concepts or principles, but also a process of discovery (Sri Sulistyorini, 2007: 39).

According to Iskandar, IPA is a science that studies events that occur in nature (Iskandar, 2001: 2). Natural Science is a subject in elementary school that is intended for students to have organized knowledge, ideas and concepts about the natural surroundings, which are obtained from experience through a series of scientific processes, including investigation, preparation and presentation of ideas. In principle, studying science is a way to find out and how to do or do and help students to understand the natural surroundings more deeply the nature of science learning (Depdiknas in Suyitno, 2002: 7).

From some of the opinions above, it can be concluded that science learning is the study of events that occur in nature by observing, experimenting, concluding, developing theories so that students have organized knowledge, ideas and concepts about the natural surroundings, which are obtained from experience through a series of scientific processes, including the investigation, preparation and presentation of ideas on the nature of science learning.
