How to use Waze secret codes to unlock hidden features
Waze codes are incredibly easy to use. All you have to do is type the codes in the search engine and press enter. It’s that simple.
Operating codes
These are the 12 operating codes that have come to light to date.
- @morph : Change your avatar to the Waze monster.
- @cctts : Clears the cache for the text-to-speech (TTS) service. Use this if you are having issues with Waze’s voice service.
- dbg@tts : Enables or disables debugging of the text-to-speech (TTS) service
- @tts : Enable or disable the TTS feature completely.
- @asr : Enables or disables the speech recognition service (ASR).
- @username : Displays your username on Waze.
- @eng : Change the application language to English.
- @heb : Change the app language to Hebrew.
- @restorefav : Restores your favorites collection and downloads them again from Waze servers.
- @coord : This code shows or hides the current GPS coordinates.
- @rawgps : Enables or disables the current GPS position with an additional icon.
- @traffic : Turn traffic information on or off for the current route.
Debugging codes
Finally, we have debug codes, which are typically used to fix bugs in Waze.
- @resetapp: Resets Waze to its factory state, as if we had just installed it for the first time.
- 2##2 : Enables or disables debug logging.
- @debuglang : Change translated texts to an “OK” message. This debug code is used to check Waze translations.
- @debugspeed : Debug code that displays the segment speed limit regardless of your current speed. Only works if you are a Waze Map Editor, beta tester, and live in a country where the app displays speed limits.
