Starting with the Radiant Stars battle pass, Paladins offers an additional way to purchase champion skins – the Bounty Store. By completing daily missions, players earn Bounty Coins which can be used to purchase limited-time skins separately from the regular cosmetics shop. The price of these skins varies and they remain in the shop while stocks last.
How the Bounty Store works
The Paladini Bounty Store uses the basic principles of supply and demand in a way that makes skins not just a matter of currency, but also of timing. The store only offers one skin at a time, and there is a limited supply of copies of that skin for players to purchase. After 72 hours, the skin is replaced with a new one, regardless of whether all “existing” copies have been sold or not.
During those 72 hours on the virtual shelf, the price of the skin will change in two ways. First, it will continuously decrease over time – the longer the leather is in the store, the more the price will drop. However, as more and more players purchase the skin, thereby reducing its virtual availability, the price will also increase.
This has two immediate effects. First, highly sought after skins that the community loves Paladins will go fast and will end up with a higher price tag. Secondly, the bounty shop will probably not affect the perception of exclusive and rare leathers, as their costs will naturally be higher and the amount of copies sold is limited.
How to use the Bounty Store
All you need to do to access the Paladins Bounty Store is link your Hi-Rez account . This feature is also useful in general if you intend to play Paladins or any other Hi-Rez game on different sides, since most Hi-Rez titles feature cross-play and cross-progression.
Once the Bounty Store is available, you need to earn currency for it by participating in daily missions. So it’s just a matter of keeping an eye on the Bounty Store to make sure you grab your desired cosmetic at the perfect time.
