To use google home as a bluetooth speaker you will first need to enable pairing and then complete the pairing on the device you want to connect.

So start by enabling pairing; just say the voice command ” Ok Google, connect to Bluetooth” to activate the pairing mode (or alternatively you can use the Google Home application from your mobile phone, selecting the google home device you want to use and clicking on the settings icon. the icon with the gear symbol at the top right and selecting Paired Bluetooth devices and pressing on the item Activate pairing mode ).

Then you will have to open the bluetooth settings of the device you want to connect to the google home speaker and search for the Google speaker among the visible bluetooth devices and select it. Done at this point, your google home will work as a speaker.

Once paired and connected the device will automatically reconnect unless disconnected. When you have finished using Google Home as a speaker, you can disconnect it with the voice command ” Ok Google, disconnect to Bluetooth” (or directly from the google home application on your mobile phone by going to the settings screen described above and clicking on the word Unpair ). You can later connect it again using the voice command “Ok Google, connect the Bluetooth”
