Elemental Sight is one of the most interesting features of Genshin Impact. It is an exploration feature that allows the adventurer to see things they normally wouldn’t be able to see, and it is used quite frequently early on in the game. It has a variety of different uses in the world of Genshin Impact: it is used during weekly “rewards” to find a boss enemy to fight; it can be used on both Celia to show the way to their garden (and vice versa); it is used in certain quests and objectives; and it can be used to see the elemental traits assigned to various enemies and objects in the player’s environment.
This guide will show you how to toggle and use Elemental Sight no matter how you play Genshin Impact. However, it is useful to note that most players can change the control scheme in the Genshin Impact game settings. If players prefer to press a different button or use a different technique to access Elemental Sight, that can be done easily too!
How to Use Elemental Sight in Genshin Impact
To use Elemental Vision on PC, players have two options depending on their playstyle. The first option is for players who use a mouse while playing on PC. The second option is for players who don’t have access to a mouse – such as players playing on a laptop.
The first option is to use the mouse to access Elemental Sight by pressing the middle mouse button. This will immediately launch Elemental Sight and can be very useful if you want to use Elemental Sight while moving. Players who do not have access to a mouse, and therefore the middle mouse button, can also press and hold the Alt button on the left side of the keyboard. After holding for a few seconds, the mouse will appear; from here, players can click on the small Elemental Sight icon located in the upper left side of the screen, right next to the minimap.
How to Use Elemental Vision on PS4/PS5
To begin using Elemental Sight on a console – including the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 – the player must hold down the L1 button on the left side of the controller. This will cause the hotkey wheel to appear; once the hotkey wheel appears, press the left D-pad button on the controller. The player can also press the square button while the hotkey wheel is active. This should trigger Elemental Sight, and is also very easy to do while moving.
If players prefer to press a different button to launch the Quick Wheel or Elemental Vision after opening the Quick Wheel, both of these settings can be changed in the game settings.
How to use Elementary Vision on mobile devices
Using Elemental Sight on mobile is perhaps the easiest way to access Elemental Sight out of all the options above. For Genshin Impact mobile players, all you need to do is tap the small Elemental Sight button on the top left side of the screen, located next to the minimap. That’s it!
Unfortunately, mobile players do not have the option to change how Elemental Vision is accessed in the game settings. However, this is the simplest form of toggling Elemental Vision out of all the game settings, so players will likely not need to change it.
