How to Upgrade Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are a very important part of the game, as they are the tools of both Spider-Mans that allow us to perform special attacks that will make things easier for us in combat. On this page of our Spider-Man 2 PS5 guide we tell you how the Gadgets work and how to improve them to the maximum :

Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are tools that both Peter and Miles can use to aid them in combat , such as the Web Shooter. They have different levels of upgradeability, and upgrading them helps them become more efficient. There are a total of five Gadgets , and you can view them in the Gadgets tab by pressing the touchpad.

To upgrade Gadgets we need items such as Components, Rare Components, City Tokens or Hero Tokens. These items are obtained in the following ways:

  • Components : Completing Crimes, TAYVSM Requests , EMF Experiments , obtaining Spider-Bots , or completing Hunter Hideouts .
  • Uncommon Components : Opening Prowler Caches and completing Hunter Hideouts , EMF Experiments , and Unidentified Targets .
  • Town Tokens : Collecting Marko’s Memories and completing Brooklyn Visions Photo Shoots and Requests .
  • Hero Tokens : Completing Hunter Bases , The Flame missions , and Symbiote Nests .

Check out our interactive map to find out where each of these items are located, and here ‘s how to get Hero Tokens and Rare Components. In addition to this, to reach certain upgrade levels for some Gadgets we also need to have reached a certain level .

Whenever we have items to spend on an upgrade of any available Gadget, the game itself will notify us with a number in the “Gadgets” tab, which means that this is the number of possible upgrades we can apply to our arsenal.
