At the beginning of March Sony surprised us by announcing the arrival of PlayStation Now in Spain. This platform has an automatic subscription renewal on a monthly basis. If you will not be a frequent user, you should know how to cancel the automatic renewal of PlayStation Now.
Before explaining the methods, let’s talk a little about PlayStation Now. This new platform allows users to enjoy more than 600 PS2, PS3 or PS4 games from their PS4 or PC for just € 14.99 per month. Through it, players can play via streaming or simply download the game.
To cancel the automatic renewal of the subscription you have two options. You can do it from your PlayStation 4 or through the PlayStation website from your computer.
Deregister PlayStation Now from a PS4
To cancel the subscription to PlayStation Now from the console you first have to turn it on and access the Settings . Once there, you must go to Administration or Account Management and press X.
Next, you need to access Account Information and then PlayStation Subscriptions. Among the available options should appear PlayStation Now. You must access this option and all the payment information will be displayed.
At the end of this screen, you will find the option to disable automatic renewal. Pressing on it will take you to other screens where you must confirm the cancellation of the service. And so you can unsubscribe PlayStation Now from your PS4.
Cancel the account from a computer
In order to unsubscribe from PlayStation Now from your computer, you must visit the website and log into your PSN account. Once you have logged in, you should go to the Media tab .
Then, you will need to select Games from the options on the left. Among the current subscriptions should appear PlayStation Now, when you locate it you must select it.
When you select the option Cancel automatic renewal will appear , you must click on it and you will have already canceled your subscription. You can always Restart the automatic renewal before the expiration date of the current term to continue enjoying the service.
As you can see, it is very simple to cancel PlayStation Now by either of the two methods. Performing the entire procedure will take no more than 5 minutes.
As useful as this great automatic renewal option may be to us, it is a good idea to consider how to cancel it. At any time we may simply not want to use the service anymore and the automatic discount every month should be avoided.
