Let’s start with the official solution that allows you to get Goku (Ultra Instinct) within the game without going through “tricks” or mods.
This is the purchase of the additional content (DLC) called Extra DLC Pack 2 . The latter usually costs € 9.99 and also includes the character Goku (Ultra Instinct).
You can purchase and download the DLC from major digital stores : PlayStation Store on PS4 / PS5, Microsoft Store on Xbox consoles, Nintendo eShop on Switch and Steam on PC. How to unlock Ultra Instinct on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 without mod
If you are not planning to buy the official DLC for the moment, in this part of the guide I will show you how to get the Ultra Instinct skills for your Time Patrol . More precisely, I am referring to Divine Kamehameha , Sublime Fist and Divine Vision .
These techniques can be unlocked from your Time Patrol even if you only have the base game without DLC . In fact, just buy them from the PT medal shop , which is located in the main area of the game (“lobby”).
The latter unlocks shortly after completing the prologue, so you can potentially purchase skills related to Ultra Instinct even if you’re just starting out. However, you will need PT Medals , which can be obtained simply by playing the Bandai Namco title.
In fact, the latter are obtained as a reward , for example by choosing the option I want medals from the Shenron dragon or simply by completing the various missions proposed by the game.
However, it may take some time to reach the required PT medals for the skills, as Divine Kamehameha costs 300 PT medals , Divine Vision costs 500 PT medals, and Sublime Fist costs 300 PT medals . In short, in total you need 1,100 PT Medals.
But beware: as you know if you’ve been playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for a while, the PT Medal Shop isn’t always open . This means that you may not find the skills I have listed for sale.

I have already explained in the preliminary chapter that this could potentially lead to problems, so before moving on, I invite you to inform yourself well on the matter and think about it .
If you have decided to proceed, the mod to download is called Goku (Ultra Instinct) (Pride Trooper) and is made by the user Pride Troopers. The latter, in simple terms, adds the character Goku (Ultra Instinct) recreated by the community to the game .
To start downloading the mod, just connect to the XenoverseMod website and click first on the orange DOWNLOAD button on the right and then on the blue DOWNLOAD button . You may need to close some advertisements. In any case, doing so will result in a file called Goku (Ultra Instinct) .zip .
At this point, you need the XV2 Mods Installer program , designed to install the mods. To download it, just connect to the AnimeGameMods portal , click on the link here and click on the Download button . By doing so, you will get the XV2INS.zip file .
Then, connect to this other page of the AnimeGameMods site and click on the link here present near the xv2patcher writing : this is another tool needed to use the mods. Then press the Download button and wait to get the xv2patcher_ [version] .zip file .
Now you just need to extract the ZIP file linked to xv2patcher in any folder and move / copy the bin and XV2PATCHER folders to the one where the game is installed (usually the path is steamapps/common/DB Xenoverse 2/bin).
Next, extract the XV2INS ZIP file you downloaded earlier, launch the xv2ins.exe file , press the Browse button (three dots icon), select the DBXV2.exe file (usually the path is steamapps/common/DB Xenoverse 2/bin) and click the OK button .
In this way, the program window to install the mods will appear on the screen. Extract , therefore, the ZIP file Goku (Ultra Instinct) that you downloaded previously in any folder and press the + button at the top left. Now, select the Goku (Ultra Instinct) (No Z-Soul Ver) .x2m file and press the Install all of them in a new slot button .
Wait, therefore, for the tool to install the mod and press the OK button . If everything has been done correctly, you will notice the appearance of a line called Goku (Ultra Instinct) . Perfect, now it’s time to have fun.
At this point, to actually be able to use the mod, you need to play offline . Once the computer is disconnected, go to the path steamapps/common/DB Xenoverse 2/binand start the DBXV2.exe file . If everything has been done correctly, messages will appear on the screen indicating that you are offline and therefore cannot access certain features.
Once you’re in the game, just go to the Offline Parallel Missions area and choose to start one.
This will take you to the character selection screen . Going to the far right you will find Goku (Ultra Instinct) , added by the mod. Just select the latter to use it and put it to the test.
I advise you not to finish the mission either , as you would increase your stats with a character added by a mod. However, you can have fun with his moves , if only to see what the fans have created, and then exit the mission .
In any case, this Goku (Ultra Instinct) is obviously a community created character . This means that it has nothing to do with the one present in the DLC. In any case, it could be a fun content to have a laugh in an afternoon with friends.
For the rest, if you want to go back to playing online and start Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as it should, you can uninstall the mod by starting the xv2ins.exe file , selecting everything and pressing the X icon . This way, you will uninstall all the extra items you added for fun.
After that, once you have connected your device to the Internet again, it is good to go to the game folder and remove the bin and XV2PATCHER folders .
