How to Unlock Enkanomia Region in Genshin Impact.
To access Enkanomia, you’ll need to fulfill a few requirements: reach Adventure Rank 30 and unlock Inazuma if you haven’t already. You can travel to the islands through the story or with the help of Cryo characters who can make ice bridges.
Another requirement is to complete the Electro Region quest chain. The tasks that must be completed to unlock the new Inazuma area are named as follows:
- “Moon Abyss”
- “Watatsumi’s Heart”
- “Still water”.
Below is a detailed guide on how to complete quests to unlock a new region.
How to complete the quests of the “Moon Abyss” chain.
The beginning of this quest chain involves visiting the Moun Shrine in Inazuma. There, you will be met by the priestess Tsuyuko, who will tell you legends about ancient seals that hold the power of Watatsumi Island. She will task you with destroying four such seals, each of which is associated with a specific Spirit Pearl.
You will need to complete the following tasks:
- Oko Watatsumi;
- Watatsumi’s Fang;
- Watatsumi fin;
- Watatsumi’s Tail.
“The Eye of Watatsumi”
The first point is to find the “Watatsumi Eye”. You will need to go to a small island west of the Moun Shrine. Using your elemental senses, find three purple orbs hidden on the island. These orbs represent eyes that need to be destroyed using Cryo abilities. Be prepared, though: each destroyed orb will summon enemies, and you will have to fight them to progress.
Quest “Fang of Watatsumi”
This time, you will visit the area northwest of Sangonomia. Here you will find an ancient stone with inscriptions that will activate a challenge: you must protect the monolith from enemy attacks for two minutes. If the monolith is destroyed, the task will have to be restarted, so prepare for battle. Successfully defending the monolith will allow you to receive the second pearl of the spirit.
Quest “Watatsumi’s Fin”
Find the shrine on the northern island with two platforms. This task will require logical thinking, as you will need to rotate the fish statues so that they look at the center of the platform. Each of your actions will change the position of the statues on the adjacent platform, so think through your steps in advance. After successfully solving the puzzle, you will receive the third pearl of the spirit.
Quest “Watatsumi’s Tail”
You will travel to the southeastern part of the island, near Boro Village. Here you will need to activate six stones using Electrogranum. You will need to act quickly, as the Electrogranum effect lasts for a limited time. After activating the stones, Fatui enemies will appear, which you will need to defeat to collect the last pearl.
Quest “Watatsumi’s Heart”
Once you have collected all four pearls, return to Tsuyuko, who will direct you to a locked cave east of Sangonomiya. The pearls will help remove the magical seal and open access inside.
Inside the cave, familiar puzzle platforms from previous missions await you. The order of actions remains the same: rotate the fish statues, activate the pearl statues, and fight the enemies that appear after each stage. When all the platforms are activated, you will receive the Abyssal Key, an important item for opening Enkanomia.
Quest “Stale Water” and Entrance to Enkanomia
The last stage on the way to the underwater world requires collecting special key signs. The first is on the island with two platforms, and the second is in the cave where you found the Key of the Abyss. After that, you will need to activate two altars using the collected keys.
Once the altars are activated, all you have to do is jump into the pool of water next to the Sangonomiya Shrine and you will find yourself in Enkanomiya.
