- Open the Google Meet app and join the meeting. Within the call, click on the icon with the three dots.
- Click on the option “activate subtitles” .
- Wait a few moments and from the moment anyone in the Meet video call begins to speak, you will see that they begin to transcribe everything that is spoken right at the bottom, it is almost in real time because there is a small delay.
You can also activate the subtitles of Google Meet in the web version of the service, you just have to start the call and click on the icon with the three dots in the lower right, there is the option “activate subtitles” .
As easy as you enable subtitles , you can also remove them at any time if they bother you or you don’t see them necessary. In any case, this functionality of Google Meet seems to have room for improvement, it will surely improve the speed at which the text is able to appear.
