I don’t know about you, but it bothers me that Google Now constantly informs me of the weather where I am, or that it gives me suggestions of the public transport that I can take there where I am to go home. It is not for nothing, but I am one of those people who, when he wants information, goes to look for it.
Without denying the usefulness of the information provided by Google’s personal assistant, and understanding that there each one with their particular hobbies, if you are one of those who are also bothered by Google Now automatically activating notifications about weather information, of transport, or of another nature, then I explain a way to deactivate them .
To do this, we must first enter Google Now. This is accessible through an icon visible with the Google G :
The interface that we obtain depends on the version of the operating system and the app . For example, on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with Android 9, it looks like this:
Either we have this more modern interface, or the one that has a menu in the upper left part, recognizable by the three stacked horizontal lines, we must access the optionAjustes :
Once in the Settings, we will see an option called Notificaciones, whose icon resembles a bell :
When we open it, we will see a series of notifications on the most varied topics , such as reminders of sporting events of interest, about television programs and movies, about decreases and increases in product prices, or about job offers …
By clicking on each of these options , we can select if we want to see the notification on the lock screen among other possibilities, and by unchecking it we will no longer see the information corresponding to that area .
We can make as many combinations as we want, checking and unchecking the options we want and configuring the way in which we are notified with the ones we leave active.
