In this guide I will explain the steps you need to follow to tune a Samsung TV in order to find any new channel. This will be very useful when there is a restructuring of broadcasts or even in the face of the already known DTT blackout . Likewise, it is a procedure that you need to carry out to watch TVE 4K channels . Don’t miss it!

Tune a Samsung TV to watch all the new channels step by step
Samsung TVs are packed with features . For example, they now allow you to mirror your phone screen using AirPlay and Miracast. Overall, they are fairly easy to use and set up, despite the many features they include.
With this in mind, we anticipate that it is quite easy to ask your TV to scan the entire signal spectrum to locate new channels . However, before you get down to work, it is crucial that you keep in mind two important issues related to this procedure:
- Channel order is lost . When you ask the TV to rescan for channels, the custom order you applied to the broadcast list will disappear. You may have invested a lot of time (or not) in keeping the channel list in order. Remember that you will have to repeat the process to sort the channels, once the TV has tuned them. You can check the guide on how to sort channels on a Samsung TV that I already published on Urban Tecno.
- Some broadcasts may disappear , especially if they are channels that have stopped broadcasting. When this happens, the channels do not automatically disappear from the channel list, so when you tune in again, some entries in the list may disappear.
With this in mind, it’s time to retune your Samsung TV. Here are the steps to do so:
- Press the home button on the TV remote.
- Go to the TV settings.
- Go to the Broadcast section . You will recognize it because it is represented by the icon of a satellite dish.
- Select the Auto Tuning option .
- Press the Start command with the remote control .
- Choose the antenna to tune the DTT channels.
- Choose the option for digital channels and wait for the process to complete.
In addition to automatic tuning, Samsung TVs have a tool to tune channels manually. You will find it in the same Broadcasting section that I mentioned in the previous list.
Tune a Samsung TV and reorder channels
Once you have completed the above procedure, you will have the new DTT channels on your television, provided that they are available. From that moment on, you are faced with the task of reordering the broadcasts according to your personal needs and preferences. Although it is true that you can always accept the order proposed by the television, when accessing your favourite channels it is highly recommended to apply a specific order.
There are three ways to manage the broadcast list on your Samsung TV. These are:
- Change the order . Simply open the main menu on your TV and press Channel List . Then, using the remote, select Edit Channels and start organizing the entire list.
- Delete channels . Another option is to delete all the channels that you are not interested in. You must follow the same steps indicated in the previous point. Once you are in the editing menu, select one or more broadcasts and press Delete .
- Add channels to favorites . If you want to have your favorite channels at hand, then it is best to add them to the list prepared for that. Simply open the list of broadcasts and go to Favorites . In the spaces where the message Empty appears , you can add the broadcasts you want.
With these three simple tricks, you will be able to restore the original order of broadcasts after tuning your Samsung television to receive the new DTT channels.
Troubleshooting tuning issues
Occasionally, you may experience some issues with synchronization . If you were already watching the main channels correctly, there should be no issues when trying to get new channels. However, if something is not working properly, I recommend checking that the antenna cable is connected .
If this is the first time you are going to tune in your TV, then you should check that you have connected the antenna cable correctly. On the other hand, remember that there may be a problem with your antenna , which is usually located outside the house, on the roof.
If you can’t watch DTT properly with the antenna, my advice is to switch to Internet television. In fact, thanks to your TV’s browser , you will be able to access services such as TDT Channels , which gives you access to all broadcasts by simply connecting your Smart TV to WiFi.
