How to transfer data from HUAWEI to OPPO
Transferring all data from one smartphone to another is not always an easy thing to do, especially in the Android world. Although the basic operating system is the same, each brand uses different software, so it is often difficult to find a single method that applies to all brands. Don’t worry though: below I will show you how to transfer data from HUAWEI to OPPO , showing you some methods that are very simple to use and just as effective. What do you say, let’s get started?
Clone phone
The first method that I am going to illustrate uses the OPPO Phone Clone application , which is able to transfer all the data from an old HUAWEI smartphone to your new OPPO smartphone. This solution could be really useful especially if you find yourself with a HUAWEI smartphone with HMS , which therefore cannot take advantage of synchronization via the Google cloud (which I will talk about later ).
First of all you will need to download the Phone Clone application on your HUAWEI smartphone from the Play Store , in case you have a device with Google services, or directly from the official OPPO website and then install the APK on your HUAWEI smartphone. On the OPPO smartphone, however, it is already present by default.
Open the Clone phone app on both smartphones , tap the Accept and continue button and then the Allow button from the pop-up that appears on the screen. On your OPPO smartphone, then tap on New phone and then select what type of smartphone your old phone is: in this case, tap on Import data from an Android phone . After a few seconds, a QR code will appear on your OPPO smartphone that you will need to scan from your old HUAWEI smartphone: to do so, press on the Old phone item , scan the QR code and tap the Connect button .
Well, now the two smartphones are connected to each other. On your HUAWEI smartphone select which data you want to transfer by placing the check mark on the relevant item and once the selection is finished, tap the Start cloning button to start the procedure. Now you just have to wait for the procedure to complete, which could take a few minutes, depending on the amount of data to be transferred.
Google data synchronization
If you own a HUAWEI smartphone that is not quite recent, it certainly still has full support for Google services , so to transfer data to your new OPPO smartphone you could also take advantage of Google’s data synchronization via the cloud . Unfortunately, if you have a newer HUAWEI smartphone (from 2019 onwards), with HMS support , you will not be able to use this method but you will have to rely on Phone Clone, as I illustrated in the previous paragraph .
But how does Google data synchronization work? In this case, all the data is synchronized in the Google cloud, i.e. via the Internet, so you will not need any cables or connect your smartphone to the PC to transfer the data.
How do you say? I piqued your curiosity and now you want to find out how it works? Well then, first of all it is necessary that on both smartphones (the old and the new) there is the same Google account . Next, you need to verify that data synchronization is enabled.
On HUAWEI, open the Settings app on your smartphone, recognizable by the gear icon and tap on the Users and accounts item . On the next screen, tap on the Google item and then on the item relating to your Google account (eg [email protected] ). Once you have selected your Google account, make sure that all the items present have the corresponding activation lever set to ON . In case there is any item set to OFF, you simply have to activate it. After activating everything, tap the Synchronize now button located in the bottom bar.
Now that all your data is synchronized, all you have to do is turn on your OPPO smartphone and start configuring the smartphone. Set the language, the region , accept the terms of service by checking the I accept User Agreement and tap the Next button .
Now, connect your smartphone to a Wi-Fi network , which is recommended if you want to transfer a large amount of data. On the next screen, called Copy apps and data , choose to copy apps and data from another device by tapping the Next button at the bottom right. Next, choose to import data from an Android phone backup , tap the Next button twice and wait for the name of your HUAWEI smartphone to appear on the screen.
Now, take your HUAWEI smartphone and open the Google app , which you always find installed by default. In the search bar at the top, type the words configure device and tap on the item of the same name that is suggested to you. On the next screen, tap the Next button at the bottom right, which will start the search for your new device.
So tap on the name of the OPPO smartphone , as soon as it appears, and check that the shapes, numbers and colors that appear are the same on both devices. If on both devices they match, tap the Next button and then the Copy button and enter the PIN or password to unlock the device, if requested.
Now take the OPPO smartphone again, enter your Google account (remember it must be the same as on the HUAWEI smartphone) and select the data you want to transfer , i.e. apps, device settings, calendars, Google contacts, Google Photos and Gmail data. After finishing the selection, start the data transfer process by tapping the Reset button .
Another useful tool in this circumstance is Google Photos , through some you can make a complete backup to the cloud of photos and videos. To then have them available again on your new smartphone or any other device, simply download the Google Photos app and log in with the same Google account used to make the backup.
From 1 June 2021, however, the service no longer offers unlimited free backup of all photos in high quality, but the space will be limited to 15 GB (shared with other data on Google Drive ). If, in your case, the space made available for free is sufficient, you can proceed with the backup, otherwise you will need to subscribe to a monthly or annual subscription , the price of which varies depending on the amount of cloud storage you need.
To activate the automatic backup of all photos, all you have to do is open the Google Photos app on your old smartphone and tap on your avatar at the top right. From the pop-up menu, tap the Activate backup item . If in your case this item does not appear, it means that the automatic backup is already active so you will not have to do anything else. If by chance you have already completed the initial configuration procedure of your OPPO smartphone, do not worry, you can still restore the data, as long as you have entered the same Google account. Open the Settings app , usually recognizable by the in gear icon, and tap on the Users and accounts item . Next, tap on the item relating to your Google account and make sure that all the levers are active. How to transfer single files from HUAWEI to OPPO
You have decided to proceed with a clean configuration of the new smartphone, without restoring the data and apps present in the old smartphone. Despite this, you still need to transfer some files that are present on HUAWEI inside your new OPPO smartphone.
At this point you are probably wondering how to transfer single files from HUAWEI to OPPO , am I right? In this case you can use different methods to transfer individual files, below I will show you the best ones to use, but of course it will be up to you to decide which one to use.
File Transfer Services
You need to transfer some files from your old to your new smartphone, but unfortunately you don’t have a PC available to carry out the procedure via cable. In this case I can advise you to use file transfer services , through which you can transfer all the files you want simply by connecting the two smartphones to the same Wi-Fi network.
Specifically, I advise you to use Snapdrop , since it has the advantage of not requiring the installation of any app, but being able to carry out all the steps via browser, very useful if your old smartphone does not have free memory to install other apps. . It also works on a local network – the data does not travel on the Internet – so it also protects privacy.
Well then, all you have to do is go to the snapdrop.net website from the browser of your HUAWEI device and then do the same thing on your OPPO smartphone, making sure they are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network . In this case you can use any browser. Now from the HUAWEI smartphone, tap on the name assigned to your OPPO smartphone that you see appear on Snapdrop in order to establish the connection between the two devices.
Now all you have to do is select all the files you want to send to your new OPPO smartphone and wait for the transfer procedure to be completed. A very valid alternative to file transfer services is the use of chat services , specifically Telegram , which can become very useful for auto-sending you all the files you need on your new smartphone.
I know what you’re thinking right now – how could a messaging app help me with file transfer? I’ll explain it to you right away. Telegram is a very complete messaging app, which has a considerable advantage, namely the possibility of being able to be used on multiple devices at the same time . Furthermore, among the many features present, there is the possibility of being able to take advantage of a channel called Saved Messages , in which you can keep any type of file you want, which will be accessible only to you.
How do you say? Can’t wait to find out more? I imagined it, so don’t waste any more time and install Telegram also on your OPPO smartphone and configure it with the same phone number present on your HUAWEI smartphone. The app is available for download both on the Play Store and on alternative stores for devices without Google services. Well, now grab your HUAWEI smartphone and open the Telegram app . From the main screen, tap on the button with the three lines at the top left and from the side menu that appears, tap on the item Saved messages .
In this section you will find all the messages, photos or files that you want to save and will be available at any time, on any device connected to this account. To add a new file, just tap on the paper clip icon at the bottom right and choose the type of file you want to send (Gallery, File, Contact or music). Once you have selected the file you are interested in, press the Send button (an icon with the shape of a paper plane), to auto-send it to you.
Now open the Telegram app on your OPPO smartphone and go to the Saved Messages section as I explained above. You will notice that all the files you have sent are available and ready to download. To download them, just tap on them. Once downloaded, tap on the three dots in the upper right corner of each single file and select the item Save in downloads . This way the file will be stored in the Download folder on your OPPO smartphone. Convenient isn’t it?
Bluetooth
Do you need to transfer small files between your old and new smartphone? In this case, I recommend using Bluetooth connectivity , which allows you to send small files fairly quickly, without having to resort to third-party services.
First of all, activate Bluetooth on both smartphones by going to Settings and tapping on the homonymous item. Then, to activate it, set the activation lever at the top to ON .
To send a file via Bluetooth, all you have to do is take your HUAWEI smartphone, open the File Management app and then tap on Phone / Internal memory . Here all you have to do is locate the file you want to send, then hold down on it and tap the Share button that appears in the bottom bar. From the pop-up menu, then tap the Bluetooth button and wait for your new OPPO smartphone to be identified. As soon as it appears, tap on it.
Now take your OPPO smartphone, tap the Accept button from the pop-up that appears on the screen to allow the reception of the file from your HUAWEI smartphone and wait for the operation to complete. Once finished, the file will be saved in the Bluetooth folder .
How to transfer contacts from HUAWEI to OPPO

How to transfer WhatsApp from HUAWEI to OPPO
By now you are almost there, you have transferred all your data from the old to the new smartphone, but there is still something missing, namely the chats on WhatsApp . You are probably now wondering how to transfer WhatsApp from HUAWEI to OPPO , because you really don’t want to miss even a message.
If you have a HUAWEI device with Google services you can use the backup on Google Drive present in the WhatsApp settings. All you have to do is open the WhatsApp app, tap on the three dots at the top right and tap on the Settings item from the menu that appears. On the next screen, tap on the Chat item and then on the Chat Backup item . Finally, you have to tap on the Back up button (you can choose whether to include the videos using the appropriate checkbox, but in this way you will take up much more space on the Drive and the backup time will lengthen).
If, on the other hand, you have a HUAWEI smartphone with HMS, things change, since in this case you will not be able to use the Google Drive backup system. Don’t despair though, you don’t have to say goodbye to your chats.
