How to Transfer Data from Huawei Smartphone to Samsung

Learn how to easily transfer data from your Huawei smartphone to your new Samsung device using simple methods such as Samsung Smart Switch.

Many people do not like to use one smartphone for a long time and change not only the model, but also the brand itself. However, due to the features of the devices, transferring data from one to another is sometimes not so easy. We tell you how to copy information from a Huawei gadget to a Samsung.

Through the MobileTrans program

One of the simplest options of all. MobileTrans has enough functionality to transfer all the most valuable things from one device to another, from videos and photos to numbers and applications. Its main advantage is its versatility, so there should be no compatibility issues.

Data transfer is carried out as follows:

The marked information will be quickly transferred to Samsung. By the way, if necessary, check the box “Clear data before copying” to delete existing files and free up space.

Via Smart Switch

The Smart Switch app is not only designed to transfer data, but also generally makes it easier for users to adapt to the new Samsung system. Also, before starting the procedure, you need to turn on Wi-Fi on both devices. The procedure is as follows:

  • Download and install the Smart Switch app on both devices;
  • Launch the program, having previously placed both gadgets as close as possible;
  • Select the source phone type and mark Huawei as the sending party and Samsung as the receiving party;
  • Connect your smartphones to each other and enter the generated code;
  • Specify what you want to move, and then tap Submit to begin the process.

Unfortunately, this method has two serious drawbacks. First, it is much slower than MobileTrans. Second, both devices need to be awake during the transfer, which will take up a lot of battery.

Via Bluetooth

If you only need to move a few files, the easiest way is to use Bluetooth. The algorithm is extremely simple and clear:

  • Turn on Bluetooth here and there;
  • On Huawei, open the desired file and tap “Share”;
  • From the options presented, select Bluetooth and from the available devices, click on Samsung.

All that remains is to accept the pairing request and wait for the data to move. The method is suitable for those who are in no hurry and only for a small number of files.

Through data synchronization

If you are logged into the same Google account on both your old and new smartphones, you can simply sync all your valuable files.

  •  On Huawei, open Settings and go to Account;
  • Click on Google, enable data synchronization and specify the necessary items;
  • Open Settings on your Samsung and enable the data sync option in the same way.

After this, the selected files will be safely “moved” to your Samsung phone.

The second option is to create a backup copy on Huawei in a Google account. To do this, in the phone’s “Settings”, open “Backup and restore” and save the necessary information. Then on Samsung, in the same way, open “Restore data from an existing backup” and move the data to it.

Both methods work only on devices that support Google accounts. Otherwise, this is a reliable and proven way to save important information.

Via cloud storage

A fairly simple option, for which almost any cloud storage will do, for example Dropbox. To do this:

  • Install the Dropbox application on Huawei ;
  • In the running program, tap the “+” icon to select the data you want to transfer and click “Upload files”;
  • Open your Dropbox account on your Samsung, select the files you want and upload them to your device.

After that, all data will be loaded onto the new device. The disadvantage is that contacts and messages cannot be transferred this way.
