By taking a burst of photos, that is, one after another at high speed, we make sure to capture several very precise moments in time and then choose the one that interests us . A very simple resource offered by the Camera app on our iPhone. Let’s see how to use it.
Many shots in a short period of time
We have a couple of ways to take a burst of many images with the Camera app on our iPhone. Some resources, it should be said, that changed with the arrival of the iPhone 11 and the redesign of the app. The easiest way to take such a burst is to move the fire button to the left side of the screen (looking at the iPhone vertically). With this we will see a count of all the photos taken appear and we will stop the burst when we release the button.
Another very convenient way to capture this type of content is to use a volume button . This option, however, requires us to configure it in the Settings app. We do so:
- We open the Settingsapp on our iPhone.
- We enter the Chamber.
- We activate Volume up button for burst.
So instead of the default behavior of taking a photo with a single tap and a video by holding down either button, you can now hold down the volume up button to take a burst. The behavior of the buttons, depending on the type of content we want, becomes this:
- Photos– A press on the volume up or down button.
- Videos– A long press on the volume down button.
- Bursts– A long press on the volume down button.
Night photo mode can be a nuisance. So we can turn it off in iOS 16
A very simple adjustment that allows us a new way to take burst photos. A system that we can use almost without looking at the screen , because once we get used to it we will know what type of content we want to capture and how to do it with the volume buttons of our iPhone.
