As with other abilities in the game, there are certain conditions that must be met in order to run and run faster in NEO: The World Ends With You. Most importantly, you should move on to week 2, day 3. When you do, you will gain the Soundsurf ability from your new teammate, Beat.
This new ability provided by Beat allows you to move faster while exploring Shibuya. Press Circle on PlayStation or A on Switch and time the button you press with the beat of the background song to move faster. Doing this also increases your Groove percentage even before starting a battle, so it’s worth doing and getting used to.
