Via the smartphone’s “Settings”

The most obvious option, which works on almost all Android phones. To add and remove programs from startup, you need to:

  • In the “Settings” of your smartphone, open the “Applications” tab;
  • Tap on “Permissions” and go to the “Background autorun” section;
  • Opposite the applications you need, switch the toggle switch to on or off.

Through the search bar in “Settings”

This method is almost completely identical to the previous one, except for the intermediate stage:

  • Open “Settings” and type “Autostart” in the search bar;
  • Open this section and enable or disable the slider next to specific applications.

You can set up the option for regular programs in a similar way, since system utilities are already enabled by default.

Setting up “Autostart” on Samsung smartphones

Enabling this mode on Samsung smartphones is slightly different from the one described above. To activate the autoload option, you need to do the following:

  • In the device’s “Settings” go to the “Applications” tab;
  • Tap on the icon of one utility and go to the “Battery” section;
  • Enable the “Allow background activity” option.

Through third-party software

There are various utilities that can add and remove applications from startup. The most popular of them are All-In-One Toolbox and AutoStart — No root . And although their interfaces may differ significantly from each other, in general they are very easy to use.

Let’s consider the operating principle of such software using the example of AutoStart App Manager :

  • Install this application from Google Play;
  • Run the program and grant the required permissions;
  • Go to the “Add to startup” section and check the box next to each item.

All that remains is to confirm the selection by clicking the “Add” button in the upper right corner. Also, in the “View applications” tab, you can see the current startup list. To remove them from there, you need to tap the trash can icon.

Also, sometimes third-party software adds the ability to configure the mode through the “Launch options” item. For example, the user can specify whether to launch the selected programs after rebooting the gadget or not.
