Main way to send an email to WhatsApp
We will explain how the process is done on Android systems and using Gmail installed on your cell phone. And sending an email to WhatsApp is very simple to do, check out:
- Access your Gmail on your Android device and open the desired email;
- To send the email text to WhatsApp, select the text or part of it;
- To do this, just hold down the text until the selection tool appears;
- After selecting the text, click on the symbol with three frames at the top of the email app;
- In some cases, it is not even necessary to do this, because, after selecting the message, a menu automatically appears just above the selected message;
- In both cases, click on “Share”;
- A list of applications will appear, including WhatsApp;
- Then select “WhatsApp”;
- Finally, in WhatsApp, select the contact who will receive the text and click “Ok”.
In Hotmail the process is practically the same, but the paths can change a little depending on the operating system and cell phone model.
Send image attached in email to WhatsApp
Now let’s learn how to send images that are attached to the email to WhatsApp. We also use Gmail as an example, but the tutorial applies to other emails:
- Click on the image, hold it down until the option “View Image” or “View Image” appears;
- Click on this option;
- The photo will open in a new tab;
- Within this new tab, go to the menu located in the upper right corner of the screen;

How to send an email to WhatsApp from your PC
If you are using your computer and want to send an email to WhatsApp, the easiest way to do this is to use WhatsApp Web. With the email open and the app connected, you can just copy the email text and paste it into the desired conversation.
You can also download the email to your computer and then send it as an attachment to your Gmail contact. Here’s how to do it:
- First, connect your WhatsApp Web and open your Gmail;
- Open the email;
- In the right corner of the screen, next to the sender’s name, click on the three dots;
- Select the option “Download the message”;
- The email will then be downloaded to your computer;
- Now go to the conversation with your contact, on WhatsApp Web, and click on the clip next to the message box;
- Select “Document” and attach the downloaded email file.
- This way, your contact will receive the file that contains the email message.
Doing the opposite process
If you want to send a conversation to email, the process is simple too. Let’s explain how this is done on Android devices:
- In WhatsApp, open the desired conversation;
- Click on the three dots menu in the upper right corner;
- Go to “More” and select “Export conversation” or “Send by email”, depending on your device;
- Now choose whether you want to send just the text or also the media files;
- Enter the e-mail address (it can be your own e-mail) and click on the “Send” button;
- That’s it, you’ll share the message to an email address.
To do this on the iOS system, the procedure is similar. What changes is that when you enter the conversation, you can swipe left or tap the bar at the top of the screen. From there, click on “More” and choose “Export Conversation”. The rest of the process is the same.
